Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

I can read the orange perfectly and since you are headed down there in October now, it's perfect! :thumbsup2

Hurray for your walking times! You are doing great!!!

Poor Marc feeling bitter about the Animal Kingdom. He may feel differently about staying as long as he wants once he gets blasted by that special AK heat. ;) Love all your plans for the day! You know how I feel about this park. :lovestruc
I was thinking the Orange would be a good color since we will be partaking in Halloween festivities!

I'm really not looking forward to that "special" AK heat. :headache:

Leslie:

I am just getting caught up on your picture itineraries!:love:Love them!

The food at Yak n Yeti and Brown Derby looks delicious! We may have to try that in a future trip.

Marc will love AK. I enjoy all the animals there. You have to try EE just once. It scared me to death the first time but I have loved it ever since. It is an amazing ride at night. The view is breathtaking!

:thumbsup2 Great job on walking the mile in 16 minutes! I did workout 2 last night of the C25K last night. I am really sore today but feel good.

Keep up the good work! I know you can do it!

Erika
I love the animals at AK. I'm looking forward to Y&Y as well, EE...well I'm scared.

Good job on the C25K! I'm going to start that soon. :thumbsup2

Your making me hungry again! :lmao:

I have to stop visiting your report when I have lousy food with me obviously. I'm so hooked on Boma, that I never quite make it anywhere else for food on my Animal Kingdom days.
Yes, I think it would be wise if you visit after lunch. ;)

ive never eaten at the yak & yeti ... but ur meal looks terrific! :goodvibes
It was delicious!

I'm loving your picture itineraries. So clever!
Thank you!

i must agree! what a clever idea :thumbsup2 i might have to steal it if i ever do a PTR! :rotfl:
Steal away!

STAT. Can't believe I have never had one. I can't wait to be able to drink at Epcot again. I'm not a big drinker but I love creative drinks. My wish list for each place will include the drinks that I plan to imbibe.
I've never had one either but I do plan to make a list of adult beverages I plan to try!

Hey LL, I'm new to your reports. I've seen you posting in other new reports i started reading and figured I would join in on the fun. I wanna make more DISfriends. So here's all my comments while i play catch up with your report. i love your countdown cards. how are your classes going? I started school again (last Dec) after being out since 02. It is a challenge but so far everything is going good. I haven't juggled school and work yet because I'm unemployed but I hope that changes soon. *crossing fingers i get the job im waiting for* Your itenary looks funpacked. Love your new camera. Yay for extra days added to the plan. I love making lists. Im the only one in my household that tries to stick to them. Your haircut is cute. Awesome motivation for "Tommorrowland" (i like that) I love the picture of sully in your drawer. makes me miss my sam. Yay for participating in Mickey's Halloween 5k run. I've never ran something like this, I dont even think i could but I think i would do it one day as long as its at disney and i had someone to do it with. lol. Your newest itinreary is looking very good. I like the pictures you are using.
Thanks for joining in on my PTR! :goodvibes

Thanks on all your comments. I'm still not 100% convinced that I can run the 5k. I might be walking!

OK, I'm really super gonna try staying up with you from this point forward. :rotfl:

Love the picture itinerary. AK is the park I'm most excited about going to in November. I've only ever gone during the blazing sun so I'll be happy with the cooler temperatures and maybe actually seeing some animals that are awake. That Kobe beef burger looks absolutely delicious!

I think you would love EE. Probably the second time you'd enjoy it more... get that first ride with the nerves under your belt and then you'll be laughing your head off.
You can do it!

See, I don't know if I can be brave enough to do TWO rides. Eeek!

Great AK pictures! Yummy food pictures! Really yummy food pictures!

Way to go with the walking!
Thanks! I'm trying to improve!

;)

I hope Marc enjoys AK!!!! He'll have a great tour guide.:)
Or a grumpy one, I don't know there is something about AK that just overwhelms me but I will try to put on a happy face for him!

Love the picture itinerary. :thumbsup2
Thanks!

LOVE the ORANGE!! AND I agree with CP, very appropriate for Halloween! :thumbsup2

NEAT itineraries with the pics, it makes them look so festive! :goodvibes

I get to have lunch at Yak and Yeti and I can't wait!!! :yay:

I think your walking plan into the 5K plan is a good way to approach it! You just have to have a plan. Good for you!
I think my plan is working for me. I'm dying to buy a new ipod though so when I start the Couch to 5k part, I can keep my runs timed easier.

Hi, Leslie! I found your PTR a few days ago and I've been catching up ever since - I'm really enjoying it so far! A big congrats on the weight loss for both you and your DH - that is such an accomplishment! I know you're going to have a great time celebrating!

Oh, and I hear you on the school and working - I go to school two nights a week for four hours after working all day, and it's tiring to say the least! :guilty:

Hi! Thanks for reading and joining in! :goodvibes

I'm really looking forward to celebrating on our trip. We both need to have some fun.

I'm so tired of school. This week has been a tough one for some reason. I am dreading, dreading, dreading my class tomorrow. 8 hours of mind numbing boredom. I can't wait to get to the clinical side!

8 Hours?! Wow - and I thought my four hour classes were bad! What a way to spend a Saturday, right?

I'll compare EE to BTMRR...
Baylor loves BTMRR and well feels the opposite of EE!
I like them both.
BTMRR is not as fast, but much rougher to ride in my opinion.
I prefer EE. It's fast, and smooth! We almost always wait for the front car on EE, love the view from that car. It's great for pictures.
I say go at least once.
Baylor did.
He won't go again though.

Yes, it's 8 hours techinically. Today is only my 3rd Saturday class and the first one we got out around 2:30 and the last one, we had a final so I was out at about 1PM. I am really really hoping we get out early today, it's supposed to be really hot today and I'm not looking forward to it. That being said, class starts in 8 minutes and I'mthe only here so far.

Hmmmm. The thing I don't like about BTMRR is the jerkiness and the drops. I just am not a fan of the drops and EE looks like the drops are bigger. :scared1: We'll see how I feel when the day comes!

Delicious Kobe Beef Burger, to be shared so I don't gorge myself again.

We are going to Yak and Yeti on our AK day too...looks so good :thumbsup2

Just wanted to chime in on the EE talk...two words - do it! I seriously HATE roller coasters, but I absolutely love EE! It is so much fun. I agree with the previous poster who said the first time is a little unnerving because you're unsure, but that first time is worth it just to get to the second time - love it! :yay: I too was very nervous about trying it but I'm so glad I did!

Here are some observations about AK. These are just personal observations.

1. Lots of walking. Since the park is not built out yet, you find yourself walking A LOT in order to get from attraction to attraction.

2. Lots of shows/time eating attractions. FOTLK, Nemo, ITTBAB, Flights of Wonder. For FOTLK and Nemo, you wait in line for 30-45 minutes, then wait inside for another 30-45 minutes, then the show for 30-45 minutes. so for one show you may spend over 2 hours. If you went to both shows, thats 4-5 hours. Add in a sit down meal and that's your day. 2 attractions and a meal...

3. It's hot. Not a lot of indoor attractions or even indoor shops. It makes walking around the park almost unbearable from Late May to Early October.

They say the trick is to grab a FP for either KS or EE and then head back to the front of the park to hit Dinosaur and Primeval Hurl and maybe ITTBAB and FOTLK. Most people head to the back of the park to do KS, Kali and EE and then head back to the front.....

Good luck to you LL. AK is my fave park because you do have to tour it differently....the theming is amazing.

I'll ride both of these but I like EE better because it's smoother.

Hmmm, I will give it thought but it's going to come down to actually being there. :rotfl:

I have no desire to do Dinosaur or Primeval Hurl. Blech. I think we are just going to go with the flow...if we don't get everything in one day we do have a bit of flexibility to go back if we need too.

Thanks for your observations! :worship:

I'll ride both of these but I like EE better because it's smoother.
I do like the notion that EE is smoother. BTMRR is a bit jerky for me sometimes.

YAY for your walking times and your orange font :woohoo:
Thanks!

Hope you survived your eight-hour class today! :goodvibes
I actually got out early! I was thrilled. 4 hours of class I can handle.

The one bummer about signing up for the 5k and changing our dates is that we added almost a month to our countdown. It will be worth it in the end though but that means today marks 100 days until Disney...again.

I'm exhausted tonight, excuse me for a less than stellar post. :rotfl2: I spent most of the day in Maine visiting my family and then at my cousin's graduation party. It was a nice day, I wore my black skirt and I think it made for a cute outfit. I'm excited to wear it in Disney.

If you remember, I'm doing a Where in Disney? picture and a list for each of the countdowns, which are going to happen at 100 days, 90 days, 80 days and so on until we reach day 20 when it will be daily countdown until we leave. :thumbsup2 I had to remind myself what I was doing because it's been so long. :rotfl:

Where in Disney?
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2049.jpg

Because I'm so fried tonight, I'm asking your help with my 100 day list.

I need ideas for Halloween Costumes for MNSSHP. I really want to dress up. Marc isn't crazy about the idea but he loves me so he'll do it. I want our costumes to go together.

My best idea is the Beagle Brothers from Duck Tales. I like it but I'm not in love with it. I don't think people will know who we are.

What ideas do you have?

Where in Disney are you? You are in the Beach Club!! :cloud9:

Halloween costume ideas? I got nuttin'. I am not creative. :sad1: But I do agree that some sort of theme costume would be cute!

Ahh the Beach Club! :cloud9: I've always loved the grave diggers and the ballroom dancers from the Boo to You parade as costume ideas.

Yay 100 days! Themed costumes would be cute but I'm not good at thinking of costume ideas. Would you believe I have never dressed up for Halloween? :confused3

I'm trying to come up with costume ideas too. My DH doesn't like dressing up either, but he'll do almost anything for our little princess. :goodvibes I was thinking about dressing up as the original Mouseketeers...white t-shirts with our first names, either khaki shorts for DH and skirts for DD and I, classic Mickey ears. It's very simple and would be comfortable all night. Feel free to borrow my idea!

Hurray for only four hours of class and 100 days!

That's gotta be the Beach Club!

Okay, I am cracking up over your Halloween costume idea -- I remember the Beagle Brothers on Duck Tales only too well! My brother used to watch all of those Disney cartoons when he was little -- Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck (my personal favorite) and Tailspin. I could probably even still sing the songs! :lmao:

Do you want a Disney themed costume?
