Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

No kitties allowed? Sad. :sad2:

I am very happy with our $150 saved!

I'm allergic and so are 3 out of the 4 other members of my family I live with. I've tried to convince my B/F that when we live together, I could totally live with a cat, but he feels very strongly about them and I can't use a lot of the words he uses to describe them on here. :rotfl2:

As for the skirt/shirts, I like 2, 4, and 5 the best. I absolutely love the skirt and the flamingo shirt. I need to get to Old Navy; I've been going to Kohls a lot because they always seem to have good sales and I tend to forget that there ARE other options out there.

I am voting for #3 and #5....LOVE the flamingo shirt!!! So cute! :goodvibes
Your cats crack me up!!! That is too funny.....Ziggy loves warm laundry....you should see me try to make my bed....it is comical with him running over to the warm parts and me trying to get the sheets on :sad2: You would think he was spoiled or something?!
Yay for half of your flight :lmao: I have been toying around with the idea of my favorite travel partner...my niece coming with me again in October. I was trying to get her a ticket with miles too but that isn't going to happen with some recent changes....do I really want to pay? No. If she gives me all of her birthday money and mows my lawn every week. Maybe. :rotfl2:
OHHHHH and I almost forgot....yes do the parasailing....I remember you saying how much you wanted (why I don't know :rotfl2:) to do this in your other reports so do it!! Actually I probably would do this sometime too ;) Looks like a lot of fun! :thumbsup2

Tracy

Can I still vote?? Sorry I'm late to the party...finally got the house done!!

I really like #5 the best!!! OOOH...and I love that flamingo shirt, very very cute!!! LOVE IT!!!!

YAY for having your first set of tickets!! That is fantastic!!!! I wish I could stay in Orlando forever too!!! LOL!!

Have a great Monday!
Vote away!! :thumbsup2

Hmmmm...lighter? Not sure I'd go any lighter. There's just enough color to complement your skin tones, but not so much that's it's going to get hot. Dark= Hot.
I think I'm going to have to try the skirt on with these shirts and post some more pictures.

I love all of the skirts & shirts! I especially love the shirt with the flamingos on it- very cute!!! I think my favorites are options 3 & 5.
Yay for getting your airline tickets!!! :yay:
I'm very excited for our plane tickets. It makes the trip seem so much more real!

I was originally going to vote for #5, but then I remembered that Stacy and Clinton always say - it doesn't have to "match", it just has to "go". So I am going to vote for #2 because I think the pink shirt "goes" and I think pink is a good color for your complexion! Purple is a little dark. Watch out Stacy London - I am out to take over your job. :rotfl:

I just about died over Sully in the drawer! That is so something my cats would do, especially Kismet who is my big cat. Probably close to Sully's size. She would be in that drawer in a heartbeat!

I am very excited you got a pin code. Are you sure you can't back the trip up to stay through 9/12???? That's my arrival day, but I would come 9/11 if you twisted me arm? :lmao: Are people wierd about flying on 9/11, cause I noticed there aren't a lot of flights that day!

Also - love the black skirt- very pretty!
You are a fashion diva, MEK! :rotfl:

Sully has always loved drawers but we didn't have a dresser for awhile and now he's making up for it!

9/12? Seriously 2 days? Can't you come any earlier? :rolleyes1

Hey chiquita! LOVE Sully and Ruby in the drawers. My girls take that one step further - they get in the drawer...and then behind it! Brats.

YAY!

You know from my PTR that this means the trip is "O-fficial" for me. Woohoo!

Are you flying out of Green?

(I'm assuming the answer to my previous question was yes!)

Because we're so close we always have someone drop us off/pick us up. There are a few long-term lots at Green, I think, with different prices based on location. It's reasonable compared to, say, Logan.

Let me know if I can be of any help!
Yes, we are flying out of Green. I looked up the parking rates, $55 for one week plus $11 a day. So I'm figuring it would still be under $100. Well worth it to not have to drive with the inlaws. :rolleyes1

Me, too - I pick two. :)

Those shoes Marc got, we all have them, and they are fabulous! So, so comfortable. I bet he will wear them a lot!
I keep stealing his new sandals and wearing around the house...he is less than impressed. They are super comfy though!

Woo Hoo for the pin code! That's great. :)

I got such a kick out of your cats. Obviously you haven't been informed that your drawers are their for them, not your clothing. :)
Yes, exactly. Nor is my pillow, bed, chair, blankets, heck they even like going in the pantry. Weirdo cats.

9/12? Seriously 2 days? Can't you come any earlier? :rolleyes1

I was kinda thinking I would wrap up my trip with a little solo time, but I might be able to convince myself to arrive earlier instead of staying later. I didn't buy my flights yet, soooo....hmmmmmmm!

I vote for 5 and then 1! Definitely wear the black tee with other skirt!

:cool1: for booking the flight! I bet I know what option your voting for for parking or having the il's drive you! Can't blame you ;) I'd be so happy if DH decided we would drive ourselves and park instead of having FIL drive us. But I know I'm not going to have choice on that one!
I'm really hoping I can convince Marc to pay for parking. I'd gladly give up parasailing to pay for parking. :rotfl2:

Congrats on the pin code! Elusive little buggers, aren't they? Glad it saves you some money.

Listen. If you're leaning towards parasailing, do it! Marc may not be the reward oriented type, and I wouldn't feel guilty about doing something without him, you know? Plus, he offered to treat! It's a sweet gesture, so do something you really want instead of trying to talk yourself into something you're not really interested in.

I personally like the idea of the navy shirt with that pink skirt. I think it's cute and I like pulling a contrast color out of a skirt like that. :thumbsup2
You are right, I will no longer feel guilty about parasailing. Now I just need to stop eating crap so I reach Tomorrowland! :rolleyes1

i like options 2 and 5 as well :thumbsup2 they are good choices i also love your new skirt! :lovestruc
Thank you!

How sad that you are allergic to cats. Marc was not a cat person when I met him but he knew that Sully was part of the deal. Then about 2 months after we moved in together, Sully was going crazy alone (he used to have my parents two cats to play with) and we got Ruby together and Marc was completely sold on that baby kitten! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Tracy
My two usually stay away from the warm laundry but if it's left unattended then forget about it. :rotfl2:

I do really want to try parasailing, I'm only a little scared. I read a review where the husband told them to dunk the wife in the water and I am NOT OKAY with that. I'd kill them. I don't want to touch that gross water.

MEK DO IT!!

We are planning to leave earlier on the 10th...because I have an 8 hour class the next day. But let me know your plans!! :upsidedow

Hey LL! So I like the purple shirt, yes, and I think a navy something to go with the bit of navy in the skirt would be nice -- so that would require a new shirt, BUT I like the purple, too!

I also wanted to tell you that from the posts where we get glimpses of your new apartment, I have to say I LOVE the floor! :rotfl: I love those big plank wood floors. Too nice.

Great deal that pin! They help a lot! :thumbsup2 AND how fun, AIRFARE! Makes it all really feel soon!!!

Just wanted to say one last little goodbye before my trip starts in a few hours. "see" you in a couple weeks, Leslie!

I wish I could help you out with a ride and save you the parking cost altogether...but I'm working the day you leave and the day you return. Sorry dude. :(

I still haven't decided what shirt I'll wear. I think it's going to be a work in progress this summer. :rotfl:

Thanks on the floors, just don't look too closely. They are OLD.

You are too sweet to offer!

Can I still vote? I like option 1 and 5. Your skirts are very cute.

I  the flamingo shirt. It will look great at AK.

:banana:Yay, for getting the first part of your plane tickets. I am soo jealous! I got excited when I got an email from Expedia yesterday for $44 tickets on Airtran but none of them were around us. I guess we will still be driving in 23 days.

Of course you can still vote!! :thumbsup2

I'm very excited about our plane tickets. Now I just need to buy the way home, I'm not as excited to buy those. :lmao:

ughh, that is the un-fun part! the whole "departure" from wdw day SUCKS! but ..i find that planning another trip makes it a little LESS depressing

I'm in the mood for an update, how about you?

I think I've decided that if I reach my Tomorrowland goal that I will be parasailing. Of course I reserve the right to change my mind...especially if I think of something that interests me more. A massage is my close second but as that is a little more money, we'll see.

I'm happy to report that I've FINALLY lost some weight. I hit a low on May 5th and I haven't been able to get under that since then. I've been fluctuating with the same 6 or 7lbs. UNTIL TODAY! Yayayaya! That means I've got about 32lbs to go to reach Tomorrowland and parasailing. :dance3:

I also have some exciting news that relates to Disney in the future. For about a year now, I've thought how cool it would be to compete in the Princess 1/2 Marathon. Or any Disney 1/2 marathon for that matter. I'm a long, long ways from that though. I've been reading If U Had Wings' PTR for her Wine & Dine Run in October. She is VERY inspiring. You should check her PTR out. So yesterday I took a HUGE step...I registered for a 5k on September 25! :scared1:

I'm starting a Walking a 5k program today, it lasts for 8 weeks and then I'm going to do the Couch to 5k running program that is 8 weeks. That will bring me right up to the race.

I'm nervous, nervous, nervous yet a teeny bit excited. It's a course I'm familiar with too. It's a small Town Festival that is hosting the race and it's right near my parents house. So I've actually walked the route before. I'm going to make sure I test it out a few times this summer so I can be as comfortable as possible. I know that I can do this and I want to do this, it will just show how far I have come over the last year. :goodvibes

I told Marc I want to shoot for a 2012 1/2 Marathon at Disney. :thumbsup2 I also told him that one day on our trip, I want to run/walk the route between Riverside and French Quarter. According to a map I found of the route, it's 1.7 miles from Riverside to the end of French Quarter, so if I do that and back to Riverside it's a good little test. :thumbsup2

Now for the Itinerary Revamp 2.0...I am hoping that this will be the LAST itinerary version. I don't think I've posted our full itinerary yet with all of our dates changes!

Wednesday 9/1
*Fly to Disney
*Check into Riverside
*QS Lunch @ DTD, Riverside or DHS
*Hollywood Studios (9-7PM)
*Three Things:
- Meet Lotso @ Animation Studio
- Great Movie Ride
- Toy Story Mania (?)
*QS Dinner (DHS, Resort Hop or Riverside)
(Or stay at Resort if not feeling a park)

I'm thinking about trying to add an ADR for Mama Melrose's on this day but I haven't decided. I think we'll end up at DHS for sure since if we do this will give us two days at DHS with our current plans instead of the one day with our old plans.

Thursday 9/2
*Epcot @ Rope Drop (9-9PM)
*Three Things:
- Soarin’
- Test Track
- American Adventure
*Les Chefs @ 1PM
*QS Dinner (Epcot, Resort Hop, Riverside)
(Could be resort day or different park)

We'll probably leave after our Les Chefs ADR for some resort relaxation! This could possibly be a good afternoon to do parasailing. :thumbsup2

84 days!! :yay:

Still hoping our Meet works out with your revamping mania!

I LOVE that you will be training to do the 5K!! I am too, and although it's hard work, it's VERY worth it. I can't even begin to tell you how much it's helped my self-image and self-esteem. EVen though there's not ONE bit of difference in the flab factor, I feel so good about doing something that I know is good for me!!

Congratulations!!! Awesome job. Here, have some dancing potassium.

So yesterday I took a HUGE step...I registered for a 5k on September 25! :scared1:

I'm doing a 5K this weekend, for charity, but walking it. I'll be detailing how that goes on the Rum Runners thread. :goodvibes

I'm starting a Walking a 5k program today, it lasts for 8 weeks and then I'm going to do the Couch to 5k running program that is 8 weeks. That will bring me right up to the race.

I'm using this weekend's 5K walk as a precursor to starting C25K. I love me some walking but I'm a bit nervous about starting the running piece.

I'm nervous, nervous, nervous yet a teeny bit excited.

I SO get you. ::yes::

84 days!! :yay:

:dance3:

New to posting here on the DIS, but want to say Hi! :wave2:
Love your trip plans so far and congrats on signing up for the 5K

:thumbsup2Great job on losing! I know it is hard but so worth it in the end.

I want to try the Couch to 5K. MommyMcQueen has a pretrip and she just finished the program and ran her first 5K. There are several opportunities around here to do a 5K so that might be my goal for the fall.

I think the 1/2 Marathon would be fun! Good luck!

Erika

I'm so proud of you!

Look at all the DISers getting in shape and running! Gives me some serious motivation for after this baby is born, let me tell you! :goodvibes
