:thumbsup2How great that you get to spend your birthday at Disney World. That is awesome.

I want to check out the Boardwalk in July. I have never been and it looks like fun. I am thinking we may try the kitchen sink as well!

This might be a good night to head over to Boardwalk, I'd really like to check out that area.

That might be a good day we can meet! I don't have anything planned yet, too busy with my June trip so I think we are just going to go with the flow. :goodvibes

I'm hoping that your birthday at MK is a blast! It's a great place to celebrate it.

The Boardwalk sounds like a great idea to me. I'd recommend a trip there. :thumbsup2
I'm drawn to the Boardwalk area but have never made it over there.

:cool1: Wooo Hooo for losing more weight!

 Woo Hoo again for registering for a 5 K! I have to say, it's something I've thought about several times over the past several months! I need to do something to get my big old butt (big being the operative word ;) ) in gear!

Your plans sound fabulous!! I love that Dumbo picture!
I'm really excited for the 5k. It makes my family members laugh when I tell them because it's so not me! :rotfl2: It's going to be now though!

How about a tiara for the race?
I think a tiara is a must for the Disney Half! princess:

Thank you. I'm excited for the 5k, terrified...but excited.

Ooh lots of yummy meals planned for days 3 and 4! Spending your bday in MK is the only way to go, looking forward to seeing your dumbo pic! :thumbsup2

Lots of brave rides you have listed there too. EE is definitely on my brave list for the time we go, it's just the backwards part that makes me so nervous! If you get a chance to head over to the Boardwalk, check out the Wyland Gallery. They have some Disney inspired paintings and sculptures in there. There's one that has Ariel and 2 humpback whales, amazing! :goodvibes

I adore that picture of you on Dumbo! That captures our collective love of WDW perfectly! Where else can you go and get to be such a kid again? I am absolutely delighted that you will get to spend your b-day there and have every confidence that Mickey and Marc will make it extra special! :goodvibes

I remain wowed, awed and inspired by your 5K commitment. I'm thinking about it on this end...

Great plans!
The MK is the best place to spend your birthday.
Thanks! I'm really looking forward to it. :thumbsup2

I'm so excited for all of our yummy meals!

I'm not quite sure if I'll make it on EE. Marc wants to go on it for sure though. I don't know if I'm brave enough. :scared1:

OOooh, that Ariel painting sounds really neat!

Spending your birthday at the Magic Kingdom is just so perfect!!! :lovestruc
It's going to be great! :wizard:

It really does capture it perfectly.

You live close enough to me where you could do the 5k with me.....:rolleyes1

I'm so excited for you and the 5K/Half plans! I have vowed to do a half marathon in August of 2012, to commemorate a certain someone's last Olympic Games. ;)

It's kind of silly motivation, but hey...whatever it takes, I guess, right? I'm starting slow and I have lots of time, but it's going to be a long haul!

Keep up the good work! :goodvibes I'll be cheering for you the whole way! :cheer2:

Oh my goodness, you are way too funny!! I love that you are doing the 1/2 for a certain someone's last Olympic Games.

Good for you! I know it's going to be a long haul for me as well but it's something I really want to do. :thumbsup2

Tooo funny! :lmao:

I have a confession to make.

My name is Leslie and I have an addiction to switching my trip dates. :rolleyes1

Yes, folks, that's right! We (really me) have switched our trip dates again.

I have a really good reason though.

I promise!

You see, I'm not going to be able to do the 5k on Saturday September 25th in my hometown anymore. :sad2:

Why?

I think I have a very good reason.

I'll be participating in Mickey's Halloween Family Fun Run 5k on October 2nd!!

:woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

The 5k is part of the new Wine & Dine 1/2 Marathon this year. Here is the event description:

This 5K will take you on a one-of-a-kind Halloween themed course through the Magic Kingdom® Park. Adults, teens and tweens can be immersed in the fantasy of Halloween and dress up as their favorite character or villain! This is the ultimate race around the neighborhood - race to the finish to receive your "trick or treat bag of refreshments". Don't miss your opportunity to run on the only 5K course through Magic Kingdom® Park.

That is right! I'll be running/walking at Magic Kingdom. :cloud9:

I'm very excited. This is a much bigger motivator to me than the 5k in my hometown. We were both able to switch our vacation dates easily.

Our new trip dates are Tuesday September 28 - Thursday October 7.

For switching the dates I had to give up a few things though...

*No Parasailing.
I'm okay with this. I had to pay to register for the race, so it all washes out. Don't worry though, I'm still going to kick butt on losing weight between now and the trip.

*Giving up Riverside.
Well, not completely. We had to switch to a split stay. There was no Riverside availability for the entire 9 night trip with my pincode. So after spending about 45 minutes on the phone with an EXCELLENT CM last night this is what we are doing.
*5 Nights @ Riverside using the summer discount code
*4 Nights @ French Quarter using my pincode
I'm completely happy with this. I still get to stay at Riverside and as far as split stays go, this is a super easy transfer. I imagine we'll just walk to POFQ with our luggage and check in.

We also are gaining a few things....
*Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!
With my race registration comes a ticket to the party on 10/3. As of right now, Marc is not going to be doing the race. He said he might change his mind though. So if he does he'll have a ticket with his registration, if not we'll buy him a MNSSHP ticket for that night sooner rather than later.

*Food & Wine Festival!
Marc is really excited about this. He's wanted to check it out since he learned about it. My aspiring chef is ready to taste all that food and get some new ideas for his cooking.

*More time to save for the trip.
Marc's hours are being cut at his part time job, which is paying for this trip. So putting it off for a month gives us a bit more time to prepare if he ends up losing his part time job which is a possibility. If that does happen, we might take off a few nights to make it a 6 or 7 night trip instead of a 9 night trip. I'm okay with that if that means getting to run in this race and still being able to go. :thumbsup2

When I brought up this idea to Marc, I asked him if he was okay with switching our plans completely around and having a different trip then we were planning. He said, "Isn't that why we go on these Disney trips? It's because every trip is different." :lovestruc He's so right too! It will be different but it will be great!

So stick around, there will be itinerary changes, costume discussion, ADR thinking and Food & Wine musings!

108 days!

All the changes sound great! The race and Halloween party sounds like a ton of fun. Plus, with a split stay at Riverside and French Quarter sounds fantastic! Plus Marc will be able to have a French Quarter experience and a Riverside experience too. And Food and Wine Festival. I'm hoping this plan sticks. It sounds terrific! :thumbsup2

Oh my goodness! :lmao: I think we all knew you would make more changes!!! :rotfl2:

These changes are fantastic though!

That 5k sounds like so much fun!!! I'm so excited for you!

I love the idea of a PO split stay! Gaining MNSSHP and F&W is reason enough to change the trip!

Your going to have a fabulous time!!!!! Wooo hooo!!!

Of course, you're also giving up a FABULOUS MEET with

me!

LOL! Seriously, of course, I am sad to not get to meet you and Marc this time around, but you are on the road to a happier, healthier YOU!!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

First of all.....I adore your picture on Dumbo!!!! Don't we all smile and laugh so much more when we are surrounded by Disney magic? :goodvibes
Love your new plans :thumbsup2
The split stay will be fun....it will be a cinch to switch over.
MNSSHP is sooooo much fun.....love the parade...the fireworks...riding HM :cool1:
I think it is so awesome that you will be participating in the marathon :thumbsup2 You are giving me motivation to get out and do something!!! :woohoo:
I think October is my favorite time of the year there....the decorations...F&W still nice and warm and it's starting to get chilly in the NE :cloud9:
