Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

:worship:Wow, those countdown cards are fabulous! It looks like so much fun. I noticed that a previous poster mentioned you read a Disney book. Is it a planning book or a book about Walt himself?

I  the school supplies. That backpack is adorable. :wizard:Sending you lots of pixie dust to get you through your first day. I am sure you will be fine.

I love your super cute school supplies. They scream LL to me, all pink and purple! :goodvibes

Your countdown is awesome, and really creative. The only countdown going on in my house right now is to my due date! LOL I printed out calendars from the Disney website for my DS so he could get the concept of how many months are left, because he kept asking when his baby brother was coming.

I think an Ariel t-shirt for the occasion could be called for, yes. ;)

LL, you'll knock 'em dead at school! If you put half as much energy into school that you put into your Disney PTRs and TRs, you'll be fantastic!!! ;)
(Love the backpack, too!)

That countdown is wonderful! Now, I have something to do with all my Disney-a-Day calendars I've been saving. I was just going to trash them, but that is a much better idea!!! WOW! I hope you will post some more pictures of the new cards, too!!! I'm sure Marc will love it!! :goodvibes

I love your countdown. How clever!
And the backpack is adorable. So much better than a plain, black one.

Good luck today!

Good luck on your first day! You'll do great! I went back to nursing school at 26 and it was really nerve racking. My first bach. degree is in fine art and 99% of the people in that program and that school were the straight out of high-school set (as I was). I was so nervous to go to nursing school because I thought I would be an old lady (at all of 27) and I was not at all. Thee were people in their 50s. I made great friends at nursing school. No one else knows what you are going through nor wants to listen to you go on about eviscerating organs, ya know. Good luck with your MA program. The medical field is a great field AND a booming industry in central Florida, don't ya know!

Love your school supplies! That backpack is so pretty! Sorry about the zipper!! I had to laugh out loud when I saw your lunchbox, wanna guess who has the exact same one except in green?? LOL too funny!!!

That countdown you made for Marc is awesome!! I loved reading the fun facts!! I too have requested the Mansion section for my trip in October!! You had some very very cute ideas and I am sure you and Marc will both get much delight out of your countdown!

Good luck tomorrow with school! I will be thinking of you!!!!
Of course you have the same lunch box! :rotfl:

I really like the countdown, I still have a lot of days left to make but I think it's going to turn out great.

Cute countdown idea!!!
I'm sure school will be fine! What are you taking again?
I always have trouble sleeping the night before something new - school, job etc. Weird dreams etc. Just relax and know the first day is only one day, it will be easier once you get into it. And good luck and remember: Faith, trust and pixiedust:

Go get 'em LL!!!
I'm going to school to become a Medical Assistant. It's something I've been wanting to do for about 8 years now and I'm happy that I'm finally making the leap.

Good luck at school tomorrow LL! :teacher: You'll be the cool kid with the hip school supplies for sure. :rotfl:
Thank you! I guess I will be the cool kid...or "special" kid. :lmao:

Good luck tonight, LL! I know you are going to do just great!!! You'll feel so much better afterwards because you will know what to expect!
Yes, it's just the first night jitters.

Thank you for the pics of the school supplies. :goodvibes Love the bookbag, lunch bag, pens, and notebook! I knew you would find some very stylish school accessories. ;) What a shame about the zipper, but I am glad you were able to fix it in a manner of speaking.
Stupid zipper. PLUS on top of that, I put my new lunch box in the fridge and Marc put some scallops next to it to defrost and guess what happened? Yep, the scallops leaked on my lunch bag so now I will be the smelly fish girl on the first night of class. Oy. I can't win!

Now, let's talk about that countdown! You are a creative genius!!! I think it looks like so much fun!!! I hope you plan on sharing a lot of the cards with us! Do you know the story behind Walt coming up with the term "weenie"? I am sure you do since we read the same Disney books. If I remember correctly, it had something to do with his dog always going wild over being offered a hot dog.
You know, I don't think I had read that about Walt's dog. How cute is that. I will have to tell Marc that tonight when I talk to him. Yes, I will share lots of the cards with you. Probably in clumps like I did last night.

A friend loaned me the new Sookie Stackhouse yesterday, but I feel asleep just a few pages in -- I am quite excited about it though.
My co-worker is going to lend it to me when she is done. She was complaining about how much Charlaine Harris recaps in the books, I find that slightly annoying too because for the most part we know the back history.

Fun update! I don't miss school but I do miss fresh notebooks and new pens! Good luck tonight. You'll be great. Come back and tell us all about it!

I didn't realize you couldn't just book the mansions that it is a request. I don't know if I like that. If you don't get the mansions what does your building look like? I'm with TK. I'm "online" for virtually everything but haven't bitten the bullet and tried online check-in. Maybe I just like to try my charm at the front desk... :lmao: As you suggested, it might be harder for a CM to turn down a sobbing woman in the lobby vs. just saying no via the computer. :confused3

But either way you're going to have a great time. The countdown is very cute and creative!
Oh of course I will tell you allll about school! No worries.

No, you can't book the Mansions. It's the only bummer about Riverside for me. I think as of right now I'm going to skip the online check in. I think I rather take my chances when I get there since we are hoping to get an early flight.

Oh, I've read a whole bunch of Disney books. Maybe I'll do a post with some of the titles. :goodvibes

They are very much LL. That is what Marc said last night when I showed him.

A due date countdown is very exciting too!

I'd really like a great Ariel shirt. I'm going to have to investigate.

:rotfl: Thanks! That made me smile.

I have a bin under my desk for recycling paper so they were all in there. I'm going to save the cuter ones now so I can them too.

I'm really hoping that people who are attending the night program are like me. They work full time and are just trying to better their career. When I went to orientation there were some not so serious people who luckily were attending the day session. So I have hope.

It's booming up here too. We want to move to Maine to be closer to my parents so this is a huge motivator for me to go back to school too. Sadly, I don't think I'll ever live in Florida. Probably when I retire and become a snow bird and winter down there. :rotfl:

Oh, no!!! It will be okay -- maybe the smell will have disappeared by then.

My co-worker is going to lend it to me when she is done. She was complaining about how much Charlaine Harris recaps in the books, I find that slightly annoying too because for the most part we know the back history.

I am the exact opposite -- apparently I am losing a good bit of my memory as I get older because reading it (which I did while waiting on Chelsea at the orthodontist), I kept thinking -- huh! I don't remember that happening. Like this Michele Schubert that Jason is hanging out with -- when did that happen??? I don't remember her at all.

Okay, apparently I need the recap then because I have no IDEA who Michele Schubert is. Hmmmm.

Those are simply amazing countdown nuggets!! How incredibly fun!

Good luck, tomorrow, Leslie! I know you'll look and do famously! Have FUN!

Joining in :)

My husband & I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary (with no kids!) this September 24 - Oct 1. I LOVE your countdown!! I may just make one of those for my husband.

and I forgot to say that I wanted a very specific room at WL last trip. We had a woods view and there are only two woods view rooms (out of the whole lodge!) that give you a perfect viewing of Wishes and a mostly water view. I did online check-in and told them those two room number requests and got one. It was perfect. So I would request a mansion or building number. You will probably get what you want.

Awesome countdown cards LL! :worship:

Best of luck tonight in school. You'll do great!:goodvibes

I will do that...if I forget please remind me.

I think it would be a great countdown for you husband so you can celebrate your trip!

How did you put that in during online check in? I thought you couldn't request anything like that? I did online check in for January and I remember there not being a space to type in anything. Maybe I missed it.

Awesome countdown cards LL! :worship:

Thank you! I'm getting over my nerves, I mostly just want it to be 6PM so I can finally start!

I am mostly lurking, but I wanted you to know that I was in the Magic Kingdom yesterday and we saw Mary Poppins and Bert at the Carousel doing autographs!! Also, Ariel with Eric (and her legs) were right over the bridge in Adventureland in the coveered area before you get to the Dole whip place. I know Chuck took a picture of Mary Poppins and Bert. I'll post it as so as I find it, if you want.

Yes! Please post. I'd love to see. You are such a great scout!
