Relax boys, the belly dancer does not want your singles! 9/2 final update p.87

Hello again!

So, I can top the "translucent" gobby gunk grossness I believe. We were coming off Tom Sawyer's Island and over that little bridge & I spotted one of the more frightening sights my poor eyes have ever laid themselves upon...

...a young cute-looking couple that were doing the "double-dualing-gnaw" on some poor innocent turkey's leg. Like, they were literally facing each other with the leg between their mouths and they were just devouring it from both sides. I stopped in my tracks briefly to make sure I wasn't having heat-induced hallucinations. I felt like I was witnessing a crime and pointed it out to my DH b/c I couldn't contain my horror. He was equally offended.

We actually were in MK the day of the shuttle launch and were able to see it. No clouds! It was so exciting. I was trying to dig my camera out of my bag while keeping my eye on it, and I finally found it, and upon pressing the power button I get the 'ol "Change Battery Pack" bulls*it. Murphy's Law in effect right there. I was taking tons of pix of like, pelicans and crap all day and then the most meaningful moment of the whole trip occurs and goes undocumented!! :headache:

Ohhh...forgot to mention....I just returned home from seeing "The Lion King" on Broadway & it was unbelievable :goodvibes
Has anybody here seen it?

We are fortunate enough to live very close to the city so we do see many shows. We saw Mary Poppins over the winter, which was also excellent.

Just wanted to share!!

I had read that you could see the launch from MK. Was it super cool? Bummer about the batteries but that's so the way it goes for all of us. I'd like to kick Murphy in the shins! :headache: pirate:

I haven't seen it but wow, you are close to NYC? I am jealous. The energy in the city is unparalleled! :cloud9: Dawn (punkin) who posts on this thread just got back from NYC last week and saw Wicked.

I bet Mary Poppins was awesome! :lovestruc

It was the next night of the trip that you grossed everyone out....even Nate!;)
I did? I don't even remember how. :lmao: Give me a hint.
Don't worry, Keith and I have pictures!:rotfl:

I know I'm crazy but at least so does everyone else around me and they just let me get on with it:rotfl2:
We wouldn't want you any other way!

:rotfl2: It was totally grody! :rotfl:

Oh my.... I wouldn't have been able to stand it! lol. Actually, Keith like to tease me about something similar. See, not only do I hate the turkey legs, I won't even eat chicken legs. Both gross me out to the point I don't want to touch them. Don't get me wrong, I will eat chicken and turkey, just not legs. It is that big.... tendon? vein? I don't what it is, but one look at it and my stomach just starts rolling. Anyhow, Keith always says he is going to make me eat a Turkey Leg Lady and the Tramp style and guess what the long piece of spagetthi that they eat from opposite ends is replaced with? He finds it funny that I will actually pale over the description. I know, he's a monster!

Wow, you are so incredibly lucky! I am afraid for me, seeing a Broadway show is just a pipe dream.... I really, really want to see Mary Poppins!

I stayed out with Emma because it was right before the shuttle was set to launch & I wanted to see if I could see it. I asked a Cast Member where they are usually seen, and she said right by the Mickey on top of the globe. It was pretty cloudy though and said it wasn't likely to be seen today. No luck. We did see the jet trail it made though.

My parents were in DHS this same day. During the shuttle launch they were at the Stunt Car show theater and folks were told they could stay after the show was over and Disney would broadcast the launch on their big screens.

So they got to watch the jet trails in the sky and also watch it on the screens. Pretty cool!

I'm just catching up, but I'm enjoying it so far. I can't wait for my trip in October.

Joshua didn’t want to try RnR ... RnR kicks butt!!!! When I saw how fast that limo takes off I was so stoked to be finally riding it. I knew it was Tracy’s favorite too so I was really forward to it. It did not disappoint.

Jessica didn't want to ride RnR last time so I didn't ride it, but I love coasters and will have to ride it next time.

Tower is Tower and I could give or take it.

Tower is Tower and one of my all-time favorites. I still think it is the best free-fall ride I've been on. And it is a free-fall. I've even seen a monkey prove it.

Look at that bone, it must have 5 lb of meat on it!!

IMG_1087.jpg

Wow! That's a lot of meat.

My DVC thinking hubby decided that he’s a park die hard and didn’t want to take a break. :rotfl2: :faint: Ever. WTHeck? Where did this come from? :confused3

:laughing::rotfl2:

Hello I felt like I was witnessing a crime and pointed it out to my DH b/c I couldn't contain my horror. He was equally offended.

isn't if funny that when we see something gross we have to point it out for someone else to witness?:rotfl2:

Aww me too honey:sad2:

That was total pants! :headache:

A+ for your use of the word PANTS Jenny:rotfl2:

Are you going to WDW sans the kids?

Now there's an idea to consider, eh;):rotfl:???

Wouldn't it be awesome if Disney built a broadway-scale theatre at DTD & had a big show there....I'm sure it would be a money-maker. Wonder why they haven't done it...seems like lots of you are interested in seeing the Broadway shows but just don't come to NY.

Ok Disney upper management, we know you're lurkin' here....produce a show at DTD please ;)

::yes:: Mine too! Do you really think the Disney execs read here?

Sometimes ::yes:: Plus there's me of course ;):rotfl2:

Good point. I never thought that Disney would pay attention to our blethering :woohoo:

So Jenna and Jenny what ya planning???? popcorn::

Well as of late we were planning Disneyland 2011 in June but as of this morning this is what went down:

Me: We really need to solidfy Mexico, I need to call the DVC people.

DH: Okay. And then what?

Me: And then what, what?

DH: When are we going to Disney?

Me: We (Jenna and I) are thinking Disneyland in June of 2011. What do you think? We could drive, not fly. Take more time, do the :beach: for a few days too......yada yada yada

DH: Oh. And next December too?

Me: Huh?

DH: Yeah, I thought we were going to stay in those Treehouse things next December; isn't that what you guys said?

Me: *thud*

Tell us about your trip!!!!!

It was really great. I am so in love with DL, I can't even believe it. I wasn't going to do a TR, but I think I will because of the many weird and cool times. I'll probably get it done before I finish my December WDW one.

Congrats on the DVC membership -- the Treehouse Villas in December sounds like a great option! :thumbsup2

Hi everyone!

I'm kind of on the fence about the new additions -- I just wanted to take that cute little Alice home with me, but I also wasn't sure that all of the additions really fit in. (I took lots of pics that I'll put in the trippie!)

Your DH definitely wins the cool hubby award--I'm so happy for you! :goodvibes
