Relax boys, the belly dancer does not want your singles! 9/2 final update p.87

Bummer about the A/C.....When I can have A/C on and it's not on my dime, it goes 24/7. I get hot very easily.

DHS used to be my favorite park back in the early 90s. It was really geared towards putting you in the center of the movie making/ tv show experiences. There was live tapings of the Mickey Mouse Club, Star Search. The Animation building actually housed a department full of animators who worked on films like Mulan. There was a show called SuperStar Television where they picked out people in the audience to recreate famous scenes in TV history. Everything was new and fresh. I think the park kind of lost it's identity. Shows got dated and/or closed and new attractions were added without much attention to continuity of theming i.e. RNRC at the end of a street themed in the 30s 40s.....

Wow....I got on a roll........sorry...It's now my least favorite park just like u.

I didn't even know there was an upstairs seating area at Pizza Planet. Who knew?

 I changed my DVC contract.
I can't believe it.....you've got to be kidding me....;)
for some reason I'm not surprised...:rotfl2:
sorry, I'm on a new medicine for my headaches and it makes me think I'm funnier than I actually am, at least that's what my family tells me.

Oh Man but you folks can blether :hyper2:. Took me a while to catch up but here goes

Happy birthday Cherie if I lived nearer I would have made you a cake but unfortunately I don't so here's a wee virtual one:cake: hope you were spoilt rotten:hug:

oooh, another word to add to my global vocabulary..blether! But my favorite is still ****.....I'm like Jenny, I get a kick out of saying something naughty without actually saying it...........is it just me or did that sentence make no sense??

Thanks, I didn't get spoilt but D.Jay did give me a great gift and I got to see "up" with the kids. Tomorrow's my birthday dinner....I prepare everything, including my own cake and D.jay bbq's and gets all the credit.

It could be a really cool park, there is just not much middle ground there, ya know? :confused3 I agree, it's got no identity. It kind of shows by them changing the name. :sad1:

I thought it was pretty cool! We were only there for one night, so I really didn't even see most of the resort. The kids didn't even go over to the main pool. I thought the lobby was pretty neat though! Of course, I didn't get any pictures.:sad2:

We didn't take the Pop buses. What do they play? I like how they play Jimmy Buffett on the OKW buses. So laid-back feeling!:thumbsup2

Fantastic!:yay: You'll love it! The Wilderness Lodge holds a special place in my heart. I truly think it's my fav!:lovestruc

Me too, Tracy! :sad1: Me too!

They were playing a lot of tv themed music

Brady Bunch, Welcome Back Kotter, Gilligan Island, et al

really a lot of fun:goodvibes

Great update Renta....

:grouphug: We are glad to have you! I used to post lots on the Community Board during the elections. pirate: It got quite heated over there. Fun, but heated. ;) I am a major lurker on the DVC Forum. :surfweb:

Well, we did a split stay b/w CBR and the GF. We were celebrating a few birthdays and my DD has always wanted to stay at the GF (refined taste for a soon-to-be-8-year-old:rolleyes:) Anyway, I couldn't justify the cost of staying there for 8 nights so we did 4 nights at each.

It kinda backfired on us cause she liked the pool at CBR so much that when we told her we were leaving (actually bribed her to go on Expedition Everest by telling her we'd go straight to the GF if she rode!! Her response? "I'll try EE but I don't think I want to leave the Caribbean" Umnn, well, too late kid, it's paid for. Last time I ever try to surprise her methinks.

Anyway, we did enjoy the F&G Festival so much, despite the insane heat. We were there from 5/5 -5/13 and boy was it hot mid-trip. We are used to going in August (love me some free grub!) but this year I decided I'd had enough of the heat, as well as dodging the hurricane bullet, which we've done successfully twice and I figured lightning doesn't strike three times. So we took the kiddos out of school for a week and wound up with Africa-heat in May. Oh well! Had an awesome time trying out the waterparks for the first time.

Ok, mucho informacion', no? Sorry, I forgot whose TR this was :cutie:
Back to your scheduled show folks!

:rotfl2: Kids are a trip! The GF looks beautiful and I would love to stay a night there if it were just DH and I. I am afraid they'd see our motley crew coming and batten down the hatches. ;) CBR looks great too! Too funny trying to surprise your DD. They outsmart us every time.

::yes:: It was so hot. Our first trip was in September 2007 and I am not sure if it seemed less hot because we were expecting the heat but jeeze it was blazes this trip. I don't think our Mickey spray fan ever had a break.

The water parks are fun! We have done both now :ssst: and I really like them. I like TL's theme better but BB has a better family raft ride and my kids loved the Ski Patrol area.

And feel free to share any details/pics. This is a group effort. There ain't no stars! :grouphug:

I didn't realise you'd never ridden TSM before, it's so great isn't it, I could ride it over and over except my arm hurts from shooting so much :rotfl:

:sad1:The joys of being a wife & mother eh:hug:? A smal glimps into the obsessive mind of Kirsteen McDonald, proceed with caution:scared1:....for my 40th in July I wanted to make my own cake (I know sad) but my mum said if I didn't mind she'd love to make it. This was so sweet of her so I unclenched my fists, took a deep breath, smiled and said that would be fantastic:angel:. Now my mum was looking after Niamh during the week whilst I was making a birthday cake and she said to me today she needed to speak to me about something...:scared:she said that she wasn't confident enough to make a cake that is themed and she had wanted to buy a cake from a bakers, when she spoke to Donny he told her that I am "a bit funny about cakes, she would be looking at it worrying about how much you'd spent. Best just let her do it herself to be honest!!!" And do you know what he's bang on the money:sad2:, I feel rotten but also over the moon because I had an idea in mind and now I can do what I like. Sorry that was a bit of a ramble but I've gotten it off of my chest now:rotfl:

Another vote putting MGM at the bottom of the parks list. Totally agree Jordan, I think the folks in charge have kind of lost their way
