Doing a one day visit on Dec. 3. Staying at Royal Pacific so we will have an EP.

Just wondering how much of the preshow/experience is missed by using it at Kong? We plan on being at Diagon Alley for the early open and I wasn't sure whether or not we should hop over to IOA at opening and use the regular line or if we should wait and use the EP later in the day.

Thanks

I rode it last Sunday via the Express pass lane and Monday in the regular lane (it was only a 20 min wait at that time so we decided to do that for the experience). I loved the ride. Thought it was really cool, especially at nigh (a short portion of the ride is outdoors). The regular line is different than the express lane, but the regular line wasn't so special that I'd wait more than an extra 15 minutes or so for it. If the regular line is less than 30 minutes, I'd get in it. Otherwise, go Express.

I don't know and I don't care. :) I've only done it with EP, and it would have to be a very short line to get me to bypass a shortER line.

Thanks for the info :)

Here today, Monday November 28. We have EP and about 4:00 PM this afternoon we walked onto Kong - could have done the regular line with little to no wait. Crowds very light, post Thanksgiving.

I see you are going on a Saturday - crowds likely will be heavier than we saw today. I would bet you would have little wait on either line and could easily do both to see the difference. Fact is, we might do just that tomorrow as I expect light crowds again.

Was there also on Monday, at about 12:30 PM the regular line was 20 minutes, Since we had some express passes from the last time we rode Kong and it broke down, we used them. What you miss on the regular line is an Animatronic Figure that warns you about Kong, a Animatronic worm creature, and some holes in the walls were you may be grabbed by a cast member to scare you.
