Anybody had any experience with this agent? Looking at resales on his site.

We have just received waiver of ROFR and are awaiting closing papers. I have no real complaints. We made our offer on June 11 so I think we did pretty good. All of his communication is online, if that is ok with you great. He sometimes takes a while to get back to you.

On that same note, we made our offer late on a Friday evening, a decision from the sellers on Mon morning and contracts complete by that afternoon. He answered us right away on Friday night. That was a real plus for me.

I will update to let you know how the rest goes. It took about 3 weeks to get our rofr info.

He responded to my initial e-mail about a resale...two months later!!! Needless to say, I didn't purchase through him.

I did a resale with him. Initial email contact was very prompt, once deal was in the works he made minimal responses to my questions. If it is a good contract, go for it, but don't expect any hand holding or attentive service. My experience was that he got the job got done. It wasn't a warm, fuzzy experience, but I got my points!

I definitely did not get the 'warm and fuzzy' treatment from Reid. As a matter of fact, the only correspondance I received from him (in an e-mail) was mis-information. So, you won't get a vote of confidence from me on him.

We bought an OKW contract last spring through Reid Realty and everything was fine on his end.

There was one problem, not on his end, which was taken care of quite satisfactorily. Could have been a problem because the seller was from Europe.

I would base my decision on the contract, not on what someone says about them. If he had a contract I was interested in, I would use him/them again.

I talked to Reid when I was looking for my BWV resale in April 2002. My take on him was that you had to do a lot more work with him. He wasn't very good at his "people skills": returning phone calls, follow-ups, hand holding, encouragement, etc. I think he would have been OK for me since I had been though the resale process once before if he had a contract I was interested in. But he didn't have anything I wanted the couple of times I called him and he was not interested in calling me when something that fit my criteria came in. "Check the website." was his reply. I opted to go with same company I had bought my first resale from: The Timeshare Store.

We made an offer on a resale about a year ago through him. The seller would not come down on price, so we moved on.
