Does anyone have info on the Rehitching Ceremony at Garden Grill/Epcot? Things such as cost or do you have to book ahead of time?

I think it's no-cost, and you should just mention it when you make your priority seating, and then again when you check-in.

I'm going to move this to our restaurants board for you.

I also heard it was at no cost. I requested it to be annoted on our reservations when I made priority seating for our tenth anniversary. We go in Sept when it is not crowded. When we checked in I did not say anything since I did it as a surprize for my DH. They never looked up reservations when we checked in. So needless to say no ceremony. I would request it upon ps reervation and again upon check in.

It is free but you must request it when you make your PS. I also got the phone number to call Garden Grill direct and checked with them a couple of weeks after I made the PS to verify that the re hitch was on the couputer. Since it will be only me and DW on this trip I contacted Jane at Gifts of a Lifetime and arranged for a photographer to record the occasion for us. It will cost $100 but I think it will be worth it.
Good Luck and Have Fun

P.S. take a deep breath before you kiss each other at the end of the re hitch

Now you must understand I have not done this yet. This is just what I have picked up here on the board.
The CM's have you come forward and Mickey and Minnie act as witnesses to the ceremony. At the end you are told "you may kiss the bride". Everyone else in the place counts to 100 [by 5's like in Hide & Seek] and you most remain lip locked thruout the count.

Make sure your server is IN on everything.

When we were at GG 2 years ago, I tried to arrange a surprise re-hitching for DH adn myself. It was in my PS, I followed up via phone the day before and I talked with the hostess when we checked in.

THen, my waitress (THe only bad waitress I have ever had at WDW) decided against the rehitching ceremony. She said, "I assumed since you were traveling with your kids this wasn't a honeymoon or something romantic." I was SOOOO disappointed. I had really hoped someone would make a big deal out of our trip, since we had sacrificed a romantic trip alone to take our family to WDW.

However, everyone I have ever heard who had a successful re-hitching had a great time.

When we were there in August, it was our 12th anniversary. My SIL and BIL told the GG staff about it when we got there to eat (no prior warning other than that!) Near the end of our meal, out comes Mickey and some of the wait staff to "re-hitch" us. It's acutally quite quick -- it happened before we even knew what was going on! Just a basic do you take him, do you take her, I do, I do, a few other words, and then the part about kissing for 100 seconds. THen they gave us a cake to share with our crew (we had a table of 12 people -- dh and I had sacrificed our anniversary and brought family along with us.... LOTS of family!)

We had been given the anniversary treatment earlier that day @ Coral Reef -- IMO, GG was a better deal! One thing I'm glad we DIDN'T do (dh would have been mortified) -- celebrate our anniversary at Whispering Canyon! That's where we were supposed to have dined that night, but cancelled at last minute and got PS at GG. We love WC, but I'm sure dh would have been 50 shades of crimson by the time they were done with us! At least at GG with the rotating layout, the only folks that can see you are your own group and a few other tables, craning their necks! (unless, of course, they catch you while you're rotated to the outside area!) Even then, he was a pretty shade of red by the end of the 100 seconds!
