can someone explan what muddy buddy is

Its a team race that is about 5-8 miles long. The one in WDW was about 7 last year. There are five stages to the race. During the first stage Team Member A runs, Team member B bikes. Both team members are going to the same place. Once at the obstacle/transition point, the team members complete the obstacle (usually without the other team member present) and continue onto the next obstacle/transition point, alternating between running and biking. So for teh second stage Team Member A would bike and Team Member B would run. After the last stretch, the team members are reunited and go through the mud pit as a team. (BEST PART OF THE RACE)

I'd love to, but just can't swing it this year due to work commitments. I do plan on running one of the Wine & Dine races though. Instead of crawling in the mud it will be squashing grapes with my feet.
