I'm planning to register for the Disneyland 10k with a group of about 5 friends. None of us has every done a RunDisney event, and most have never done any sort of distance running event.
If we want to try to all start the race together, do we all need to register as a group at once so that we'll be grouped together at the starting line? Or are you just grouped into the starting "corrals" based on other criteria? I heard on the Dis Podcast last week that the starting order for the half marathon is based on previous run times. Since we (a) don't have previous run times, and (b) are doing the 10k not the half marathon, I'm assuming that doesn't apply to us.
Basically, we're just trying to figure out if each of us should register on our own when registration opens (so we can each just be responsible for our own info and registration fees), or should we designate one person to register all of us (and then reimburse that person for the fees)? Our group is sort of a mix of different friends and friends-of-friends, so we'd prefer to just have everyone be responsible for their own registration if it won't cause us major problems on race day.
