Regis' cat ashley passed away

Regis just told everyone his cat passed anyone who watches this show knows this cat almost more than his children. I got kinda choked up watching him talk about his cat.

I'm glad I didn't see that, I just had to have my own precious cat put to sleep the week before Christmas...still hurts....a lot....

I've always dreaded the day when he would report that Ashley had died. It was sad today but I thought he handled it well. It's too bad he was away when it happened.

At least his DD was with him when he died.
You know, he rarely talks about his DS and DD from his first marriage. We knew Ashley a lot more than them.
It was a sad little tribute they showed, music and all.

see I would have been upset about the tribute~I can only imagine how hard it was for Regis not to shed a tear and then Gilman having this tribute would have done me in. Regis is stronger than me.

Regis LOVED that cat! I thought it was a riot the time poor Ashley got all shaved, instead of just a grooming like Regis wanted. I felt bad for Regis, knowing that cat wouldn't be around much longer

I'm sorry I missed the show this morning....I would've liked to see the tribute to Ashley! =^..^=

The tribute was sad, it made me cry. I felt really bad for Regis. You could tell how upset he was but he held it together.

I taped it this morning and just watched it. Listening to him reminded me of when we put our cat to sleep last summer. I miss her the most in the morning when I got up and she would come and greet me. He also was very opposed to a new kitten when Kelly mentioned it, we felt that way too. It's been over 6 months and we finally can look at cats in the pet store, but not sure if we are ready for a new one.
