I’ve seen this activity listed in recent navigators. Has anyone here participated? (I think we did something similar on a different cruise line.) If so, I’d appreciate your insights! Thanks!

We saw this on our eastbound Panama Canal cruise. There were over 30 homemade boats participating. Only rules were that you could only use materials found on your cruise and it had to float.. it was hysterical and people were very creative. You had to build it while on the ship. It was fun to watch.

Also on the eastbound Transatlantic in May. Some of those boats were very creative, real works of art.

We did it on the EBPC. Used 4 empty hand wipes containers (what you get as you enter the dining area), a stick I found in the trash for a mast and a thin, corded backpack we received for the sail. Lots of string and tape to hold it together. Sorta catamaran. It floated !

On the four night, it looks like they met on the first night (distributing rules/tape/twine?) and the regatta itself was the last afternoon?
