It seems that there are so many more people that say that the war on terror and /or Iraq war was "the wrong thing to do". Less people are for the war than had been originally.

I am wondering what changed your mind?

At what point did you decide that the war was going to be an issue for you when determining your candidate of choice for the upcoming election?

I don't mean for this to become a debate. I am sincerely interested in the reason for the change of heart, for those that admit that they have had a change of heart.

I was against the "war on terror" the moment we stepped foot in Iraq.

No change of heart for me though. I stood behind President Bush, even though I didn't vote for him, until that point. After that, I lost faith in him and his administration.

Me too.

Same here. War should always be a last resort, and I thought we were justified in our invasion of Afghanistan. Think of what could have been done with our focus on terrorism around the world instead of pouring our resources into Iraq. And the fact that the administration lied to us about the reasons to go to Iraq instead of focusing on where the terrorists were have made us less safe. And now estimates of Iraqi casualties due to the war could be as high as 600,000. And of course the thousands of our brave soldiers who have died, and tens of thousands that have been wounded.

I value the sacrifices of our of military. But I don't believe in sacrificing them.

You're kidding yourself (the OP) if you think this won't become a debate.

Personally, even though it appears there were no WMDs in Iraq, I still don't believe the justification was under false pretense. Maybe over time it will shown otherwise.

I think it already has been shown.

Oh wait. No debating. Sorry. :)

I still think that getting rid of Saddam was a good thing, however I'm disappointed in what has happened since. I think the war has been badly managed. While I understand the virtue of loyalty, there is a point where you've got to be a leader and clean house when things go south. However, I'm equally concerned about those who believe that we can just pull up our pantyhose and leave without negative consequences.

And yes, this will come to a debate because you will have people on the extreme left and extreme right jumping on to bash each other.
