? regarding resale and closing...

Hi all. Just got a letter today regarding our VWL add on from Timeshare Closing Services. It says our closing has taken place and the warranty deed has been sent to the county and a copy to the resort. I am not in any big hurry to call MS, we got 250 points in August and may bank them, but we have until the end of January to decide. We may use them, as well as next August's points, to do a big Christmas 05 trip! Anyway, my ? is what will we get from DVC and when will we get it? Our other contract was bought through DVC (at BCV) so I was not sure how this will be different as far as a welcome package, ect. DH is already talking about getting more BCV points to make the 2 contracts equal, but I don't see many contract at BCV on the TSS site except for that 500 point monster LOL! If you received that notice through the US mail, then it is likely that you are already in the DVC system. Disney usually has the ownership transfer completed about 3-5 business days after the property has closed. (They do not wait for the deed to be recorded at the county offices.)

Call member services and ask them to look you up in the computer system. They will be happy to assist you.

In direct response to your question, disney mailed me a welcome packet about 2-3 weeks after my resale property closed. The membership cards arrived in the mail a few weeks after that.
