We have a Waterview Room booked here and I am wondering what kind of view I would have, is it lake, pools, stream ect. I have requested to be close to food and bus stop as I have a child who won't make a 10 minute walk to food and bus. I know people say that it isn't worth the additional $10.00 per night for the waterview (after Disney Club Discount) but DH and I felt it was well worth it to not have to look at a parking lot which we would get trust me on that one it has happened to us on every trip we have taken. Is there a certain area I should request? Oh by the way we have a smoking room I don't know if that makes a difference but DH will need to smoke in bathroom and won't do it in a non-smoking room hense request has been made for smoking room too. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Typically 'water view' means either lake view or pool view. If you have a preference, I'd let them know. At CSR, I think the quiet pools at the Cabanas and Casitas are between the buildings and the main lake -- so you'd probably end up with a lake view either way. Not sure about the Ranchos. I don't think any buildings are close enough to the main pool at the Dig Site to be considered a water view of that pool.

I know that our water view room at Cabanas looked out at the lake. I know that Disney also considers a "water view" a pool view (which it is technically but I think it isn't quite comparable toa lake view). The three quiet pools at CSR are nice looking though. There is also a small lake/pond on the backside of the Cabanas that is probably considered at water view as well though you can see the perimiter road as well. In the Ranchos section there is a very shallow pond and rocky strea that I don't know if they consider it a water view. Since you have requested to be near the food, you will probably get the Casitas or Cabanas 9A or B which would b give you a view of the lake, pool or pond. You can call CRO and have them add a request for a "Lake View" onto your reservation.
