? Regarding borrowing

Hi. I just had a quick question regarding borrowing and banking. I have a June use year.
If I borrow from my 2022 use year when do I have to use it by if I need to cancel or change reservation

Also If I do need to cancel, could I switch the use years to use my 2022 points first and then bank my 2021 points. Does it matter?

Does my 2021 points expire on May 2023?

I did try to call member services but was on hold for 55 minutes and the line disconnected.

Points borrowed into your June 2021 UY need to be used by May 31, 2022.

The system will automatically take borrowed points before current points when making a reservation.

June 2021 points expire on May 31, 2022 unless they are banked into your 2022 UY.

The banking deadline for June UYs is January 31.

I just want to add that if you borrow to make a reservation and then cancel it, you must have the borrowed points put into any other reservations.

They system will not do that automatically. So, if you book a trip in July with borrowed 2022 points and then cancel.

If you book a new trip, it will use those first. However, if you have another trip that was booked before you canceled the one with borrowed points, then you have to modify it and rebook without changing a thing to have it use borrowed points and free up current UY points.

The only piece is that you can not do it less than 31 days before the trip because then any freed up points that were replaced will be holding.
