Would you buy one?? Anyone with any experience buying a refurbished one? I'm looking at getting TV's for both DD & DS and was hoping to get 22" flat screens for around $200. Walmart has a Phillips for $209 (new) but I've seen refurbs for less that $200.

Any thoughts/suggestions??

As long as it came with a reasonable warranty, I wouldn't hesitate.

Many people associate the work "refurbished" with "repaired"...but in reality much of the "refurbished" electronics merchandise is merely items purchased by someone else and never used...but the box was opened and it can no longer be sold as "new".

There's often never been anything 'wrong' with a refurbished unit.

Thanks.....the "refurb" I found is a Sharp brand 22". Our other Sarp TV is great. I can get a Sharp for the same price as a lesser known brand, but was hesitant because of the refubished status.

Thanks for your insight :thumbsup2

So long as it comes from a major brand with a good warranty (or the option to purchase an extended warranty), I would chomp at the bit.

I currently have a refurbished TV and a refurbished laptop. Both were great purchases in my opinion.:thumbsup2
