How scary is this ride? I HATE drops, but love BTMRR and Dinosaur at WDW. However, I refuse to get on Expedition Everest or Splash Mountain. I watched a video and it doesn't seem that bad - neither did Expedition Everest till I saw it in person!
Thanks!
I've heard the ride is virtually the same except with some new led lights in certain parts of the cave scenes. I have also heard the ride vehicles have little room for your legs. If your tall or have long legs your in for a painful ride.
I felt like the Yeti growls were a lot louder when I rode last weekend.
what exactly qualifies as "tall"?
I'm 6'2", I assume I'll be having my legs smashed in... but that's just part of the fun![]()
We rode last weekend and I noticed some different lighting and a louder Yeti. The seats are small and not much leg room but I felt like I could brace myself better for the bumpy parts. My two kids, DD9 and DD6, loved the new seats and sitting by themselves! My brother, who is larger, was dissapointed that the seats are smaller and he doesn't think he'll be able to fit in the new seats. He's pretty sure he's had his last ride on the Matterhorn. My mom. who has mobilty issues. won't be able to ride anymore either. I don't think anyone who is larger will be happy with the new sleds.
I'm slightly dissapointed that you can't ride tandem anymore. That was one of the things I loved and it was easier for my kids to ride it too knowing that mommy or daddy was holding onto them. I doubt my DS6 will be willing to ride alone.
