Refurbished iPad? Opinions?

We have bought refurb Apple products and never any problems. Full warranty.

Apple stands behind their products and their refurbs always have brand new outer shells/cases/whatever you'd like to call them, new batteries and a full warranty.

I see you got one, just saying, it should look and work perfect and if it doesn't, they'll make it so. That's why they sell so quickly!

I am so relieved that it is over. I don't even think I could beat that price - 20% off the regular price - on Black Friday. And my brother already said he is getting him an Ipad case, so I am sure it will be a good one.

Yes, it's just like a new iPad, just has all the internals refurbished.

Quick question, being that I just bought the 16gb, I am now wondering if and how we'll be able to view movies on it. It's only wifi, so I guess we can't stream Netflix while flying or driving.... What other options are there in our case? Looking ahead to our Disney trip.

There are a few options:

You can rent a movie from iTunes before you leave (you download it) so that you will be able to watch it any time even when wi-Fi is not available.

You can sometimes purchase wi-Fi on each leg of your flight. This is done through the airline, not through iTunes or the App Store.

You can download movies on your iPad if you have digital downloads from movies you have purchased. Since you only have the 16gb, you will need to make sure there is lots of room before doing that (same with renting a movie).

We did options 1 and 3 when we flew to Disney World and it went smoothly. The rental prices from iTunes are really reasonable I thought (we just rented standard definition). We rented two movies and also downloaded a couple of our movies from home. We have the 64gb.

There is free software which will allow you to convert DVD's that you own into digital copies. I do it all the time.
