Refurb Walls???

another poster said that they saw walls at the following:

The areas with walls I remember last week are as follows:

Small World Facade
Area under Frontierland Station
Area across from Pirates
Area around old tomorowland skyway
Hall of Presidents
Several shops on main street

What's going on at these places? Anyone know?

All of those areas had walls or fake fronts in May. It really detracted from the normal beautiful MK. MainStreet was just not the same with multiple painted canvases for store fronts.

Small World is getting an exterior paint job, as well as the shops on main street. Across from the pirates is probably a refurb of the pirate stage where they do the pirate show with Jack Sparrow. As they opened that little stage last year. The Hall of Presidents is getting re-done and set to open around July 4th with a new show with the new President. I'm sure they are painting the outside of that building as well.

It is much better to have the painted canvases of the buildings than see workers on scafolling painting the buildings, don't you think?

I agree that is better to have painted canvasses.... although, I would hope they would limit the amount of buildings that are being repainted/refurbed at one time.

Anyway, anyone have any idea how long these are gonna be up. I haven't been to The World in a few years and I would love to see the newly refurbed buildings when I am there (august 17-22)

It seems as if every building is getting a refurb in MK in anticipation of the 40th Anniversary of that park. I would expect to see tarps up all around the park for the next year.

YES - I totally agree. At least they have created a way to ease the visual of working on building fronts. It is still not the same - but you are totally right.

Thanks for sharing the link. I wasn't expecting that many buildings to have the tarps up in front of them. That really is a lot. I wonder how long all of it will take.
