Refund on reservation?

How long will it take Disney to refund my cancellation . I used my bank(debit)card for a Resort reservation(11 months before check in).

I had to cancel our May trip and I had been paying on it for ten months. I, too, used my debit card and my husband's debit card. So, they had to refund part to my card and part to my husband's card. I had my full refund in about two weeks.

It's amazing that Disney Reservation can take the money for a depsoit in two days, but a refund takes two weeks or more!.

I think the reason it took this long was because I made 40+ payments over the 10 month time period. It trickled in over the two weeks time.

I know. the hold on the card goes on immediately!! Our refund took about 5 business days!

I guess you had to get all the credits seperately. That makes sense that it might take a while.

I wouldn't just blame Disney. Banks tend to hold up deposits longer than charges.

Yes, but the balances that banks hold deposited checks due to banking regulations that is a help to see if a check will clear. Cash deposits, automatic payrolls etc have no hold and are available immediately.

We've always received ours back in about 4 business days.
