Refrigerators in deluxe rooms?

I heard through the grapevine that WDW no longer charges for fridges in deluxe/moderate resorts? Is this true---do you still have to ask for one?

It's true. They're installed in a cabinet in the rooms.

How large are they and how cold do they get?

The cabinet that it's in is about 30" tall. It gets as cold as any refrigerator.

We were at Poly Christmas Eve and had no fridge. We called Housekeeping and they brought one (very small) no charge.

Also had to request one for WL woodsview at Christmas

We were at the Beach Club in December and it was indeed the replacement for the mini-bar that used to be there-small fridge, but big enough for us to stick a pint of milk, some OJ, juice boxes, and water bottles in there! We were not charged for the fridge... they offer a "menu" if you didn't stop at a grocery store on the way (ridiculously overcharging you for bottled water and soda!LOL!)
