Refrigerator at Royal Pacific?

We are staying at Royal Pacific in a couple of weeks for 2 days while I have a business conference. DH will be with our 3yo DS. DS is lactose intolerant, so needs to have special lactose-free milk (and he is a milk junkie; water and juice won't cut it). On Disney property, this is no problem, as we can get a refrigerator in the room and buy the milk (we have a rental car). Can we get a refrigerator at Royal Pacific? If so, is there a charge? Any suggestions on how to go about requesting it?

TIA!!

I know you can request it, but I'm not sure of the charge. Don't worry, one of the Universal experts will be along shortly.... :rolleyes1

You can call RPR directly and they can answer the question of cost. I think that they will empty the mini bar for a one time fee. The hotel number is
(407) 503-3000. I would mention that a refrigerator is needed due to your son's medical/dietary needs. :paw:

Okay, called the hotel directly and they can provide a fridge for $15/night or will empty the minibar for a one-time fee of $25. We are only there 2 nights, so it is basically the same price.

Kinda a lot of money considering how much we're already paying for the room?!? (But typical of hotels, I know).

Hmm, decisions, decisions...

Thanks for the info, and the direct hotel line!!

Or you buy a styrophone cooler in the beer isle of Publix and fill it with Ice back at the hotel. They usually cost about $5-$8. You"ll be visiting the Publix anyway.

When you are done, you just leave the cooler next to an ice machine and people know what that means. That would save you about $20.

I was just at the HRH the last weekend of August, and bought the styrofoam cooler at Publix. Cost was $3 for one without handles, $4 for one with handles (i bought the one /out hanldes - guess I'm cheap! :teeth: ). I'd highly recommend it - it kept our milk, juice, soda and beer very cold. Overnight, the ice barely melted.

The key to keeping a cooler cold, is to cover it with a towel.
You can do the same thing with the sink. Fill it with ice, cover it with a towel, and the ice won't melt.
