Also, how about letting the winner post the next photo? I know we have to get through 2 photos before starting it but it would be a great "prize" for winning.

Thanks for starting this contest - will be a fun one!

So, Sharon tossed this out on this weeks contest thread. I would definately like to refine the way that we do this.

So here are my thoughts

1. Currents weeks Picture will be put up on Mondays.
2. No more than 1 submission per person per week
3. Any thing that would be permissable on the site is fine (so anything that you could post to a disney board would be acceptable)
4. Monday I will gather photos, and put into polls the way Dana has been doing on the regular contests, voting will follow the same format.

This means that for a picture posted on Monday, the following Monday, voting would occur for the first round, the following Monday, voting would occur in the final round. So it would take 3 full weeks to declare a winner.

If we use Sharons Idea, then on the 4th Monday, the winner of that contest would submit a photo for the next contest. This would give the winner a full week to determine what photo they wished to present for the contest. What I could do is have the winner email it to me for posting by Sunday night and if they haven't provided it, then I could post a picture for that weeks contest.

So, everyone please share your thoughts, lets get this worked out so that everyone likes and enjoys the contests. Seams like folks are having fun with it.

I am putting the photos here http://gregghall.smugmug.com/gallery/3386770/1/189219337 for the polls to be done. It is a private gallery on my smugmug account with ordering turned off. This means that only those with the link will be able to see the gallery and no prints may be ordered from the site, downloading is still available.

Hope everyone is enjoying it so far.

Since the rules were not defined for the first round, those that submited mulitples will have all versions put up for the poll for this round.

I think it would be best if the winner submits their picture to you at whatever time you specify. I would just be afraid of a lapse in the contest if that person does not check and know that they need to post a picture.

I love the new contest, great idea!!! Thanks for taking the time to set it up.

Hello

I can post both if you would like or just the first, up to you. Since I didn't specify I will take mulitple entrys this week.

I'll leave both of them in this time and thanks if you do this again will fallow the rules :thumbsup2

Gregg,

This was a great idea. Some real originality being shown. Looking forward to the coming weeks. Everyone keep up the good work.

Love the contest and the rules above are fine. Just be strict about the time frame for the winner to send a pic in.

Wondering how we can also add to this, like is there a way to have us submit the information of how we got the results and what program we used. In short form, ie. photoshop, added filter blur, adjusted brightness and contrast. Something like that??? That way we can try to use what we learned during the contest. It would be cool to see a picture and see how it was done all in one place.

Now this is just my 2 cents. It may not be feasable to do it this way. How to do it AND keep it fair, so no one copies your idea... that I don't know the answer to. Maybe someone else has thoughts on it too.

Either way, thanks!! This is fun!
