Note that they want you to use the disposable paper cups for water and not directly fill your own container. You can fill the paper cup repeatedly to then fill your own container. Probably a hygiene issue but seems odd when other locations (and all resorts) have soda dispensers to directly refill your used cup.

Yes! Please do this!

FYI - It's one of the "rules" on cruise ships to use a clean glass to transfer the water/ice into your own bottle.

Definitely for hygiene purposes.

Just a heads up, you don't have to wait in the food line at QS places for just water. Most of them have a waiting to order line, and then a place at the counter where they put trays of food when ready. Many of the QS places had trays of waters sitting there, we'd just pop up and ask and they'd hand us as many as we asked for. Or if they didn't have the trays we just asked the people filling food orders for a water and they did it no problem.

We'd usually grab 3 or 4 for our group and go pour them into our stainless cups to keep the ice longer.

Is this something that is only done during the summer? I've been to WDW in February, March, November and December and i've never seen a QS restaurant have cups of ice water sitting out.

The one time I did ask them for a cup of ice water, it was a 5 minute wait in a very crowded pickup area.

Pecos Bills and The QS place in China both had them out when we were there in Nov. And we never waited for water, they always got it right when we walked up, but usually wasn't insanely busy when we went, so maybe it depends?
