Refillable Mugs?

Can we buy a refillable mug at MK? Any place we can do so and be able to get milk or juice?
No refillable mugs at the theme parks.
They do have refillable mugs at the water parks. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but Im pretty sure the water park ones are only good for that particular water park on that particular day. I think they only have soft drinks.

I get the mug everytime because I need my coffee in the morning, and I still use them now at work. Then after the day, or if we went back to the room for anything in the afternoon, (the busses at the value resorts drop you at the food court), so I would refill passing through to the room, and then one more time at night.

My wife bought one last time and hardly every used it. She's not a coffee drinker, and would just buy a juice bottle and throw it in her bag (and then never drink it . . .I found one in the car a month ago from the day we left the asylum to go to Universal).

You can actually buy a sticker to update the water park mug to use on another day at either water park. I forget how much they charge.

Do the mugs have dates on them? Can they be used again at the same resort if you come back later that same year? Later...another year? It used to be the "old mugs" from years ago could be used indefinetly...or so we were told by resort employees in years past.

Uh oh...

No, they can't. They now have the following printed on the mug (I have mine with me right now):

"Free refills until the end of your stay."

"Refills only at location purchased."

We stayed at Pop Century. They had soft drinks, lemonade, apple juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. It was worth it for us, b/c we spent 2 full days at the hotel, plus all the mornings, and even went back for lunch from the parks.

Keep in mind that at CBR, you may be VERY far away from the food court. We would not go there for coffee since there was a coffee maker in the room. We stayed there last Christmas time, and only went to the food court once - it wasn't convenient for us - depends on your style and location.

truthfully, we didn't feel the mugs were worth the trouble since we normally only had one cup of coffee pre bus to park..we ended up (since we had bought the mugs) asking for a coffee disposable cup every morning so we didn't have to lug our mug to the park. so we got the coffee in a mug then poured it into the disposable to go...pain in the neck.... athough you could get those disposable cups with lids to take with you before you leave home nad not get the weird looks in the food court

btw i heard the new refillable mugs are magnetized so if you leave the wdw property with them they are sucked back inside wdw borders...that way no one can take them home and try to use them next trip;)

I still have some from 4 or5 years ago they really hold up.Of course I would never reuse them on my next trip so we just stay somewhere new so I don't get tempted.

Does AK no longer have the refillable mug? You used to be able to buy the souvenier cup with the animal head and get refills for that day for $1 and some change.

When I went in Jan and again in May I didn't bother with the refillable mugs because I was doing split stays both times and didn't want to buy two mugs each trip. However in Sept we spent the entire week at POP and really got our money's worth out of the mugs. I am a very early riser so would get up and walk around the resort filling our mugs while my son and D-I-L got dressed. Then we would run back by and refill them before we got on the bus. The empty mugs went into my D-I-L's backpack and when we came back that evening we refilled them again before going to our room. Sometimes my son would run down a final time before we went to bed and get refills. We were able to get sodas, coffee, hot chocolate, apple juice, and slushes, by the way.

In Dec my mom and I are doing a split stay at POFQ and CSR. My mom has already said she wants the mugs as a souvineer, besides which she is a big coffee drinker. I am undecided at this point if I want to buy two mugs (which I'd have to do since we are doing a split stay). I think Disney should have a program in place where people doing split stays could trade their mug in for a new one when they check into their second resort. I don't mind buying one, but don't think it's fair that I can only use it a few days and then have to buy another one just because I switch resorts. It should be good for the length of your stay at WDW. The person who stays at one resort for ten days only has to buy one mug, but those of us who like split stays have to buy two or three to use for the same length of time.

I agree.

I think the mugs are beneficial if you do spend quite a bit of time at your resort. Since I'm not sure we will be doing this, I don't know if I'm going to bother with the mugs.

It'd be great if you could fill them up elsewhere - that's what I thought you could do when I first heard about them.
