Here's another refillable mug question, and I know this one has probably been answered a million times. I noticed that I have an old Port Orleans (from before the name change) mug in my cabinet. Can I use this on my upcoming trip to Polynesian? I wouldn't think so except that someone mentioned that they couldn't use a Port Orleans mug at CSR because the Pepper Market is not owned by Disney, which implies to me that the mug can be used at food courts that are owned by Disney.

I'm not sure if the Swan & Dolphin participate in this program, since they are not owned by Disney.

With the exception of the All Stars & Port Orleans, mugs are not interchangeable at the resorts. What I mean is that you cannot use a Contemporary mug at the Wilderness Lodge & so on.

The refillable mug program has been a hot topic, with people having opinions from both sides. I have a collection of mugs going from the different resorts we have stayed at and yes, if I am staying back at one of these resorts, I bring my mug from that resort with me from home. I have asked several times and have always been told that this is not a problem, since it is from that resort. Now other people are going to disagree with this and they can, but I have always asked before bringing it and again, have always been told no problem.

However, Disney's official policy is the mug is only good for the resort you bought it at for the length of your stay when you bought the mug. Signs are posted everywhere to that effect.

I say take the mug, use it, and just don't tell anyone on this board. The worst that could happen is that you will rot in Disney Hell for it.

Yes - SWAN/DOLPHIN has refillable mugs - they do not have handles though. Good at Tubbies in the Dolphin.
For what I remember - lemon ade, soda, tea & coffee.

Yes - you can bring them back from another recent stay at the
SWAN/DOLPHIN.

If you have a DC card - you get 20% off meals at the SWAN/DOLPHIN except Shula's.
