Refillable Mugs

We will soon be on our way for a 2 week vacation at POR. Can't wait!

Just curious how much a refillable mug is now and how often can you get a refill?

They used to be $17.99 for length of stay. But they have recently got rid of the 1, 2 and 3 day options and only have the length of stay option. They lowered the price, albeit slightly, when they removed the other options.

Wow, so now you're forced to pay for length of stay no matter how long you go? Seems like that would cut down on the number of mugs being sold.

Wow, so now you're forced to pay for length of stay no matter how long you go? Seems like that would cut down on the number of mugs being sold.

I wouldn't think they'd be selling less. I think the vast majority of visits are over 3 days.

That's a bummer. We bought the 2 day option while we were there for 5 nights because we aren't huge soda drinkers (we did drink some on those two days) and used it more for ice water (and because we wanted the mug).

i use the mug for morning coffee, that's it for what i use it for.

it will be cheaper for me to not get the mug and just buy coffee in the morning.
you get 3 refills within the first hour of using the cups that way.

If you don't drink a lot of soda, or even coffee, then no, they aren't really worth it. I would prefer to bring one of my old mugs from home, put soda in it in my room (I can buy a lot of soda for $17!!) and then refill it at meal times. How? Usually the servers refill your glass as soon as they see it's getting anywhere close to empty! I can't possibly drink that much soda all at one time. So, when I'm done eating, I pour any remaining soda into my mug...then sip on it as I walk about the park. I use a carabiner to attach it to either a belt loop or the strap of my bag if I have one with me.

if you don't drink a lot of soda at the resort, not worth it.

i can do a grocery stop with my car service.
cheaper for me to buy some soda at that time and just get ice at the food court if i feel the need of a soda.
i might have one soda a month...

my speciality drink is water all day, but coffee in the morning.

i have had the refillable mugs before when booking the package with dining.
i used mine for coffee, son used his for soda.

there is a time wait from the time you flll your mug with soda before you can do a refill.
it's not every 20 minutes
don't remember the exact time wait but think it was 2 minutes between refills.
no limit on how many times you use your mug.

the time wait period is for discouraging a family to buy one mug, fill it up and pour the soda into another container.
then keep refilling that mug until the entire family has free soda.

yea, i saw that before the chips went in the mugs..

it is the coffee that allows you 3 refills within the hour.
once the hour is up from the first time you get the coffee, you would have to buy another cup which has a chip in it.
coffee i know, that's my type of drink........lol

You can refill your mug every 2 minutes, not every 20 minutes.

Mac, did they put chips in the coffee machines? This is the first I've heard of a coffee limit.

when i bought the cup for the coffee, they told me 3 refills within the hour and said chip in the cup.
i really didn't believe them but i wasn't going to test it with any cm.......
i needed my morning coffee every day and i wasn't going to get banned each morning when i bought the cup on that short visit.....

i don't know about chips in the coffee machine, just repeated here what i was told in the refills for my coffee cup.
