Refillable Mugs

if you take a mug or any containor into the park, you would end up using the lockers to stow them when you go on certain rides
some rides have restrictions of no bags or loose objects
Oh really? So if I have a back pack (medium pocketbook size, not school size), I will have to leave it on the platform while I ride? Do most people do that or should I get a locker? Thanks!

Not accurate. There are no restrictions on bringing your bag on any ride- with the exception of larger bags that may not fit in the underside basket on Soarin'. I have always been able to fit our normal sized backpack underneath- no problem.

Absolutely not! There are no restrictions on bringing your bag on any rides. You will have no problem keeping your bag with you. We take our normal school sized backpack with us on everything!

Does anyone know if you can use the mugs at the resort pools? We will be at POFQ in 30 days :yay: and have some resort pool time planned. I think they have a pool bar--can we get refills there?

I know at CSR you could refill at the pool bar. Not sure about other resorts but I would think it would be similar at most.

I'm confused about the 3 refills on coffee in an hour with the paper cups. The coffee machines do not have rfid readers on them. They have no way of tracking how many times you have used a cup. Not that I'm advocating it, but you can use an old mug to get coffee. Only the soda machine has a reader.

The food court is not far from the pool. You can easily take the mugs with you to fill up and then hit the pool.

The mugs really aren't worth it anymore. I suppose if you are eating at your resort twice a day and like fountain drinks then it might be worth the expense. We spend most of our days in the parks and rarely eat at the resort. No real need for the mugs for us.

If you drink coffee and have a longer stay they can definitely be worth it. Caffeine in the morning and a decaf to end the day, that's at least $5 each day if buying them oop.

Depnds on if there's a refill station there. Last time I did laundry at a pool laundry room at SSR there was a station there. Was tempted but then I saw the bees. Not a great idea to have sugary nozzles outside. Ick.

Agreed. I think the cm and signage steered Mac wrong, because the chip doesn't limit the coffee. Now, I'm never going to go over two of those mugs of coffee at a time, but I could drink as much as I want, if I could. :)

well, to tell you what really happened, i was on the darkside posting about the mugs at cabana bay, left the room for 10 minutes and son came on my computer and started to post on the motherland mug site.

he saw i had started a post stting there so he sent it but had moved it to the motherland mug thread already.....
he thought he was doing me a favor.

so i deleted it and said the " sorry wrong thread " statement.

anything else you want to know Bumber?

I suppose, if you like coffee and like walking to the cafeteria and back to your room every morning and night. :)

Was wondering what the 2015 mugs look like. Last time we were there was 3 years ago. Hoping foe a new design! TIA

My husband and I find the mug price worth it if we share. Disappointed to know there is no more 3-day option as we frequently take weekend getaways. Our next trip will be 6 days so I guess we will definitely be getting it then. That price is a little steep if you're considering to pay for more than one! Also, (off topic) but how delicious is Dinsey hot chocolate? It's so good! I wish I could make it like that at home!

We've been lucky and had the mugs included in the Dining Plan. DH & I agree that we would buy them if they weren't included because our family used them every day. Plus, we stay a week at a time so they are definitely a value for us.

And yes- the hot chocolate is great! Our kids love it!

What colors are available right now in February at POP we could choose from green, yellow, blue, red, and purple. Are there other colors at other resorts right now?
