Does anyone know if there are walk-up or self-serve for the mugs at Seashore Sweets or Boardwalk Bakery? I liked being able to get refills myself at Beach Club Marketplace and I can't tell if it works the same way at Boardwalk.
We bought 5 of the mugs the first day we arrived for 5 of us and I believe we more than got our monies worth. I must have filled mine up at least 20 times during our 7 day stay. We stayed at WL and POR but I also filled mine at the Contemporary en route to the monorail.
I am a rule follower and I totally agree, they are no longer resort specific mugs, but length of stay specific mugs.
My opinion abt the mugs is that they are worth it IF you take your mugs to the parks instead of leaving them in the room, because coming back from the parks is usually when I want to use my mug the most! Here's my tip- I bring a strip of velcro. I take the hook strip and the fuzzy strip and cut them to the same size and stick them (glue side to glue side) to each other so I have a strip of velcro that is able to stick to itself. I run the strip through my mug's handle and I run the strip through my belt loop so I can have my mug at my side hands free (since we don't bring backpacks). This way I take coffee for my trip to the parks in the am, rinse it out and stash it once I get to the parks and I have it ready for filling when I get back to the resorts.

I use a caribener to do the exact same thing. I'll attach it to my purse or belt loop. Hands free is the way to go!
When will they change the mug again, I already own 6 of these from 3 different trips last year, I really don't want another set of the same design. Anyone have an idea?
Well - I suppose if you stay at one resort, and like refills...that makes it more cost effective.
Here is the link... The picture on this link makes the mug look much shorter than it is. I actually measured mine this morning and it DOES hold 20-22 oz.

My guess is if they are to bring out a new design it will be sometime in early 2011 with whatever new promotion they are doing. However all the resort counter service locations need to sell out of the current design before the new mugs can be sold, so you those going during that time might still see the same ones for sale.
Do they put out a different mug for the Christmas holidays? I've seen people using mugs with a winter theme and am hoping to get that one this December.

That might have been it. They were pale blue and white and I thought they had snowflakes on them, but I'm nearsighted and may have mistaken fireworks for snowflakes. Bummer!
