refillable mugs

i don't know.

the ones i have don't have any dates.
they are the ones that represent rides i love.

the last time i bought a mug there was 9 years ago.

i keep using those same mugs.

I don't suppose they'd refill my King Kong mugs from Hollywood too. :lmao:

Do you get the AAA discount in restaurants? I know at Buch Garden's in Tampa we did.

We plan on traveling pretty light to the parks so we don't have to use the ride lockers. Am I correct in assuming that for many rides, we would have to stash reusable mugs away in a locker?

Yes. Any rides requiring lockers would need you to store them.

Are there still refillable mugs (outside the meal plan) that can be purchased & refilled for 2011? If so, does anyone know the cost these days?

Refillable mugs never expire. They don't need to be purchased with the meal plan. You can purchase them at most drink carts.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if these were still being sold at US.

From all of the pictures of menu boards - it looks like just soda is an option with an occassional minute maid or hi-C orange - is ice tea an option? or is powerade an option?
We're not big soda drinkers in the heat, but enjoy ice tea and the sports drinks - wondering if it would be worth it for us?

Powerade, probably not. Iced tea, probably. And you can always get ice water filled in the mugs for free!

i've been dragging my dueling dragons mug with me every trip........

yes, it is so true.
mugs bought at universal never expire!

and you get them refilled at the discount rate.

I see that the mugs are not allowed on some of the rides and that those rides have the lockers outside to stow personal belongings. My question is...is there any place AT the LOADING platform to put things? If you get to the platform with something that is not allowed to be carried on, can you leave it on a shelf/floor area to retrieve at the end of the ride or are you required to leave the line, go to the lockers to stow it, and then return?

Since some attractions have different loading and unloading areas, you are not allowed to place anything in either area. If you are asked to put something in a locker, you will need to exit the line and then return via child swap so you won't have to wait in the queue again. Just make sure you don't have anything with you that would put you in that position.
