Are they worth it? We really would not be spending TOO much time at the resort but maybe if we had it we might use them in the morning & for a night drink....:confused3 .....maybe.

What can you get in them? Coffee, pop....can you get milk, juice, chocolate milk? Anything other than coffee & pop?

We got them last year and will get them this year. Its just nice to grab it and go down and grab a drink when you feel like it.

We had a standard room at our resort, so didn't end up using them much because of the hassel to get to them and back was a waste of time most days. This time we will probably do it again since we have preferred rooms this trip. If nothing else, they are a $12 souvenier to take home! We love using them at home and remembering our trip!

Get them!!! I love them,It's nice to just go and get a drink whenever you want.

So, does that mean that you CAN get more than just coffee or pop in them? Still not clear on what the choices are.

You can put whatever you want in them.......as long as it is available at the fountains in the food courts. Includes hot cocoa, coffee, sodas, and slushies.

I wish they were bigger, they dont hold alot of anything. Fine for the kids, not so fine for thirsty adults.

Wow, a mug thread that made it more than 5 posts without being locked down. Thats progress people!:rotfl: :lmao:

In my opinion they are definitely worth it! On our last trip we basically paid $11.99/person for beverages for the entire trip, not including table service restaurants, and non-resort quick service restaurants.

I remember being able to fill them with coffee, soda, water, and (not 100% sure) juice. We'll be getting them again on our next trip. :)

We feel they are worth it.

We have DDP and plan on buying the mugs. When you eat at your resort get a water bottle with your meal and use your mug as your beverage. Then you will have plenty of water bottles for parks or whatever you want to use them for.

We fly and use magical express, so we really do not want to hastle with having water sent to resort, or making our way by taxi to the store.

Here is the 2007 mug. The 2008 mugs look exactly the same, except they do not have the year labeled.

Most definitely worth it!!!

I drink a lot of coffee, soda, water, etc. Well worth the price of admission!!!

You can't get milk with them....but you can get coffee, pop, and maybe juice (although it might just be some kind of punch rather than "real" juice).

It's basically what you can get at any fast food place (McDonald's, etc) that has the customer fill up their own drinks.

As for being worth it---I think some of it depends on what resort you stay at, and where your room is located. For instance, we stayed at POR our last trip, which is pretty big. We were in building 18, which is very close to the food court. We did get a re-fillable mug, and it was very convenient to walk to the food court to get it filled. However....for someone staying in one of the buildings a ways from the food court...it might not be worth it. I personally would not get one if I was in a building far from the food court.

A civil refillable mug thread! Will wonders never cease? :lmao:

I've always figured that it pays for itself after the third drink you get.

I always get the mugs. Definitely worth it for the price. I always get my moneys worth out of them. The kids get their soda, hot chocolate, I get my refill after refill of coffee, and my wife gets tea. In fact since I'm in disney now I think I'll run up and get another coffee!

Couldn’t agree more.
We used them maybe 2 times. Further I personnel think there very unhygienic. You can't wash them properly just hold them under the barely hot water tap in your hotel.
The smell of coffee is so overwhelming that everything tastes like coffee.

Whether they are worth it depends on how long you are staying, and how close you are or how convenient it is for you to get to the food court. And what you can get depends on the resort. At Pop Century, for instance, my current fave, you can get frozen Cokes or 'Blue Pop', as well as the usual soda, hot chocolate, coffee and tea. I think there MAY have been juice, but I'm not sure, and I know absolutely there was no milk or chocolate milk, not even one of those big dispensers for coffee. When I stayed at All Star Music a few years ago, you COULD get milk for your coffee and tea if you asked the attendant, but I have not been able to do this at Pop Century (and I hate those little cups of white stuff they have, so I just buy milk separately for my tea . . .).

I'll always get the mug - at the prices they charge, they pay for themselves after just a few uses. And since we always have a car, I can get a cup of something on the way out to the parking lot, too, which is nice.
