Just an observation while I was there last week - POR and POFQ they were selling the new mugs but I saw just as many, if not MORE, people using old mugs, old mugs from other resorts, cruise ship mugs, blizzard/typhoon mugs, and even cups that were not Disney related - I was a bit shocked! Seems it has gone to a free for all.
At Coronado Springs, they are selling the old mugs in the Pepper Market - I did NOT see the new Year of a Million Dreams mug anywhere.
We didn't purchase the mugs because we didn't need them with free dining - I had water and maxwell house with me for coffee in the room. Stayed away from soda's the entire trip. Most of our snack credits were used for cold Dasani in the parks. This is fine by me.... It was hot - we did mickey bars one day... that was it.
