We leave on Friday for the Boardwalk Villas!!!! We all loved the refillable mugs last year at Port Orleans. Are they available at the villas and where do you refill them?

Edit: Okay, I did a search on this and found some info.... I am wondering if any of these areas are self service or do you have to wait in a line and have someone else refill them....

thanks for any info....:D

Purchase your refillable mug at the BoardWalk Bakery. Refill at the bakery or at the poolside bar (Leaping Horse Libations).

You can also refill them at Spoodles pizza window. None of these are self serve.

Can't they also be refilled at the Candy Store on the Boardwalk? Again, not self-service, but each location does have some beverages different than the others.

We filled ours at the candy store. We just returned (3/21) and I was surprised that they no longer fill the mug, but give you a cup with soda. I wonder if this is due to some type of health code?? Although none are self serve, I never had a big wait to have mine filled.

They did that last May when we were there. We would go in and they would hand us a cup with a lid. The only place that did not do that was the Spoodles pizza window.

The cruise line has adopted something like this with their unlimited soda program. The mugs are optional there. They instead put a sticker on your KTTW card and you only need it to get a cup of soda from any place that serves them shipboard. They typically will not refill your mug either. They did this to avoid cross-contamination. Would be nice if they did the same in WDW.

Re-fillable mugs are not such a big deal at DVC because you can buy two cases of your favorite pop and put it in the fridge for the cost of one mug.

We were most recently there in September and purchased refillable mugs at BW. They were out of the BWV design so we were given Lilo & Stitch mugs and told they would be treated as the same, we were disappointed is this, but they assured us that as soon as they got restocked we could come and exchange them. This was the beginning of the week, by the end of our stay they still did not have them.

One thing we did notice was that the BWV mugs did not have a Year on them as did other resort refills did. Could someone tell me what the new mugs look like and whether they have the year on them?

How about anyone with an old design, have you had trouble seeking refills on return trips?

Thanks for your input.

Our mugs from 2 years ago are the exact same as the ones from this trip.

We were at the BC on our honeymoon last year and got 2 mugs we will be there in 8 days can we use those same mugs for refills??

Thanks everyone! We'll be there in less than 24 hours!!!!!!!!

I hope this thread doesn't go the wrong way :earseek: My kids really enjoyed filling their own mugs at POR last year and we love the mugs as souvenirs - my DH uses his everyday. We felt we got our moneys worth but would not bring them back on another visit. We may just buy a couple at BWV for the kids - just wish they could fill their own..... seems kind of silly to get another cup to fill it with.... but I never thought of the cross contamination. I wonder if they still let you fill your own at POR?

If you are filling them yourselfs at a resort that has self service soda, etc, then yes you can fill them yourselves. If it someone that has to handle it, they are going to give you a cup of soda for you to pour into the mug.

According to the rules: The mug is good for the original length of stay. What others do, well, that is none of my business.

Last week at Beaches & Cream they refilled our mugs for us. They did not give us a separate cup with soda/tea. Our waitress one morning at Yacht Club Galley also took our mugs to the back and refilled them for us. But last year, I went into Spoodles one morning to get ice tea, as no other place was open that had tea, and the hostess brought my tea in a separate cup for me to pour into my mug. So I guess it just depends on who, where, and when!!!
