Refillable mugs--are they leak proof?

If I bought a refillable mug--could I carry drink in it in my bag without it leaking?

The simple answer is no... There are two types of mugs sold, hot and cold. The lid on the hot has a sliding cover for the drink hole, however it does leak when tipped.

They definately are not leakproof and the plasic mugs for cold beverages WILL break if dropped just so...My DS dropped his the minute we got it and was filled...Luckily, a CM saw it and replaced it right away!

No not leak proof but they make great souveniers and are handy at home. We fill over breakfast and then refresh to take on the bus and then empty and bob in a plastic bag. That way when we get back to the resort we can fill up again before returning to the room.

The wide insulated ones do not fit in car cup holders!
