Refillable Mugs and Leis at the Polynseian?

We will be heading to the Polynesian tom!! Are the refillable mugs back yet? Also, do they still give you leis at check in ?

Hi! We've stayed at the Polynesian several times, and were never given leis at check-in. The refillable mugs were available as recently as last month (around $10). Have a magical time!

I stayed at the Poly at the end of October 2002 and I was not given a Lai at check-in. But when I asked the front desk later that week why some folks were walking around with lai's on they gave us lai's promptly. Perhaps you have to ask for it at check-in which I thought by me asking ruined the suprise. Oh well!

I was able to get refillable mugs for $10 a piece.

yes, the refillable mugs are back... we bought 2 last week at Captain Cook's, $10.99 each (plus tax) and it was well worth it for us.. plus I use mine now bringing my tea to work in the morning.

AND if you drink tea-- you have to ask for the teabags at the counter.. they keep them behind there, I guess so people won't clean the basket of teabags out!!

We didn't get any lei's, but didn't really care, because the few I saw were very plasticy looking. I guess you have to ask for them now, but from what I read on previous post's you get them if your staying concierge (you'll probably have to ask for them there too).

Yes, we've stayed at the Polynesian 10 times over the last 22 years-last July being the most recent-and we have always received leis! My family always has them on in pictures as soon as we check-in!!

When we stayed there in July 2001 we received leis upon check-in without asking for them. I believe it was one of the first things they did when we got to the desk.
