Good to see that there's a mug option for the parks at US/IOA.

Quick question though..our first park day is at US. If we get a mug there, is it good in IOA, or will we have to get a different one for our IOA days??

It's good at both parks :) In fact we will be be bringing ours back from 2008 this summer!

Are you referring to their souvenir cups? The ones that cost $8.99? If so, you can bring that same souvenir cup back the second day and simply pay the refill rate per refill. Typically, a refill is $.89 or $.99. I believe the ones for $8.99 need to be used in conjunction with the Meal Deal program.

Here is a photo of the collectible souvenir cup: you can see the prices as well

Yep! These are the ones we have. I believe the meal deal cups are different looking :confused3. Are they not Damo? and can only be used with the meal deal.

Here are the meal deal cups. They are only good for when you have the meal deal.

the red ones in the pic that damo posted were the ones I was referring too. Thanks for the info guys, just making sure my ducks are as lined up as possible!! I havent' been to universal in over 20 years, so there's a lot of catching up to do!

Does anyone know if you can get these refilled with frozen drinks or juice, sometimes, if you want something other than soda? I imagine the refill price would be higher for the frozen drinks, since they're a dollar more than sodas normally. But will they even do it?

Not sure about the frozen drinks, but ice and water is free, which is great!

I don't think so. However, I think you can get them refilled with the ciders in Wizarding World. They are basically just a fizzy fruit drink and there are some lemonades and ice teas too. There are no normal sodas in WWoHP and those are the fountain drinks.

This is good to know! I have a feeling that in August we will be drinking more ice water than anything!!!

We bought the refillable (red) soda mug in January and used it all week (even though it says "good all day, day of purchase" on the label in fine print).

I too was curious about the frozen drinks and asked for a "refill" at one of the ICEE stands. They pleasantly refilled and charged $2.99 refill price.

Sodas - .95 with tax

ICEE - $3.18 (?) with tax

Your mileage may vary, but this is what we encountered.

I did read/see somewhere (I think it was on the thread with the IRL pics of the menues in the parks) that there's an icee cup with a refill option too....but I don't know if you can pay to get the icee in the soda cup....

the mugs are valid for discounted refills for soda.
juice is not included.

any mug you buy at UO is considered a refillable for life time .....
the beverage cups are not considered in that catagory.

i bring my Dueling Dragons mug with me on my return trips.
it's over 10 years old..

if you take your UO refillable mug with you to Sea World, it will be considered honored for their discounted refill also for soda.

and vice versa if you bring your SW mug to UO.

The mugs are the same mugs as pictured above for both the soda and ICEE. Soda's initial price is $7.99 with .89 refills. ICEE initital price is either $8.99 or $9.99 with refills at $2.99 (+ tax on all prices).
