hi
It's been a while and I'm trying to remember, I can't drink soda

I know u can get coffee & hot chocolate but is there a cold drink option that's not fizzy? Eg squash or juice

Thanks

I know in most food courts you can get ice tea but I'm pretty sure the juices are just the bottle ones.

We only ever used the mugs at POR and POFQ, so can't comment on all resorts, but the machines there had Minute Maid lemonade, and some kind of red artificial sugary fruit punch. Not sure on the iced tea, as I don't like that.

This is actually my main complaint for the mugs, as we rarely had a meal at the resort aside from breakfast, and the drink choices for that meal are non-existent (I only drink tea when I'm sick or it's super cold outside, and enjoy sipping my coffee more on a relaxed break in mid-morning, so those two don't work for me either). We made do with the lemonade, but it's really not ideal!

Thanks for your reply- I'm from the Uk is the lemonade flat kind or fizzy?

If you're not a soda drinker, then it's not worth it to buy the mugs. Your other choices are coffee (which you can make in your room), tea, or coco. There may by iced tea, I don't remember for sure. You could place an order with a service such as Gardengrocery.com and have beverages and/or snacks delivered to your resort. You'll have a small fridge to keep them cold.

blue powerade, iced tea... we're not really soda drinkers, but between morning coffee and afternoon powerades, we got our money's worth

and yes-gross lemonade ::yes::

When we were at Caribbean Beach last October they had apple juice at the drink station. They also have numerous iced tea flavours as well.

Gold Peak is the brand of iced tea last time I was, 2 yrs ago. I believe it was regular (sweetened & w/lemon) Green tea, and I think unsweetened but not sure. We don't drink soda either and we made due with the green tea. It was good enough to get us through just a little sweeter than we like.

The lemonade and Powerade we thought were just yuck! I can't remember if there was actual chocolate milk but I do remember putting the hot chocolate over ice for DS and him loving it.

Had the Gold Peak at Contemporary in February. They had sweetened and unsweetened. I found that a mix of the two was the perfect level of sweetness.

I disagree completely that it's not worth it to get the mug if you're not drinking soda. The coffee was lovely to have in the mug, as was the iced tea.

1) But, those "other" drinks are not free to Disney.
2) Little known but ALL the coke soda fountain products are given to WDW for free. *
3) Milk-coffee-tea are not free to Disney, so they are infrequently offered on mug-bars.

* At one time, Pepsi was the Official Drink of Disneyland. Then Coke got in, along with Pepsi. In a future bidding war, Coke not only heavily discounted the bottled product but gave fountain drinks to Disney for free. Since then, Coke has been the official soda on DL and WDW, and the free fountain drink offer has not changed.

Blue Powerade- it's what I drink race weekends. That and tea- there's a machine that has a couple flavors.

Wow this is so interesting! I was wondering why milk would not be a choice especially with so many kids on those mugs!
How is the tea/ coffee layout? Do they have it out there too with the fountain drinks? Hate to bother a CM every time I need hot water...

Values can not make coffee in their rooms. Unless something has changed they don't have coffee makers in their rooms.

They may be getting the mug free with free dining.

Next to the fountain drinks there are tea bags for hot tea and the coffee comes from the same machine that offers just hot water. Milk/creamer is available in the little pots and I have also known fresh milk in a jug being placed under the counter in a fridge - you would need to know it was there, there's no sign!

Thank you!!! Glad that hot water is out somewhere... :D

Interesting to know. Since they do have the Minute Maid lemonade, though, I would have liked minute Maid apple or orange juice.
