Refillable Mug (gulp) question again...

I remember a thread last year on refillable mugs that went on for weeks & months....I hope I'm not starting something here again...however....can a refillable mug from a resort one year be used on another stay at the same resort (the following year)? Also...can the mugs be used between the All Stars? I remember seeing that Disney was thinking of using a barcode system on the mugs so that they could only be used for the length of your current stay, only at your own resort. I feel this is totally fair however I'm just looking to save some $ (as we all are at WDW) by reusing my mugs from last year if possible.

Tara, the AS mugs can be used between the All Star resorts with no problem.

The "official" word from the Disney is that the bar coded thing at resorts is a rumour and there is no intention to do so. The person calling from Disney stated that while the "official" word is good for length of stay, they do not enforce it, realizing that people return with the mugs. Now, I'm sure that others have heard differing "official word" responses.
