refillable mug from wilderness lodge

we have a mug from Wilderness lodge from about 5 yrs. ago. We are heading to disney tomm. and was wondering if it can be used at Fort wilderness?

Don't be surprised if someone asks you if this question is a joke. I'd have to say most likely no - but then again, I'm not the mug police either.

I have the one purchased at the Fort but every time I have been to the meadows trading post for my free coffee the Fort Wilderness mug I see many others using other Disney mugs getting coffee and I assume it is free also but I am not positive.

Technically no. Your mug is only good at the resort you purchased it at, and for the length of that particular stay. You are officially not allowed to bring it back for other stays.

But, in real life, it all depends on the CM's that are working. They may let it slide, or they may question you about it and you'll be embarassed. I would just buy a new mug. Then you'll have a Fort Wilderness one for your collection!

I have mugs I bought so long ago, I think we paid $6.99 for them. I've used them at the Fort & at WL. This year they changed mugs & the new mugs now have the year on them. I only had one guy at T.E. give me a hard time about using the old mug. I see both being used at FW & WL.

BTW - the same new mug is being used at all the resorts. Technically you are only suppose to use the mug at the resort you bought it at. As of yet WDW had no job title of "Mug Security", so you might want to buy one in case you "resort hop" while you're staying at the Fort.

I think some people feel that if they pay 12 bucks for a mug they should be able to use everytime they visit and not just for that stay. I'm looking for Disney to come out with the "No Expiration" option Mug. Maybe they will start selling the "Mug Hopper" option, where you can take it to the resort of your choice.

OK, that is too funny!!! I am trying to get settled for the night. The last thing I needed was a good laugh.

Honestly though, I would hate to see the price of the "no expire" option. Maybe they would not put it too high, most people would forget to bring it back anyway.
