Hi everyone.. for all who have stayed at cbr and not stayed in prefered location, is it worth buying the refillable mug...we have bought fefillable mugs before at the values. One of the reason we have is because you pass foodcourt to get to bus stops, so my family and I always get drinks on the way in and on the way out to the parks...Since CBR has its own bus stop in each village is it worth purchasing? We will eat a couple of times at Old Port Royale. i have also requested a room in Jamaica, since it is closest to Old Port Royale and has its own bus stop. If by any chance I get prefereed will it then be worth getting refillable mugs? Sorry about all these questions just can't see myself spending $40. plus more dollars on mugs if we do not use them..

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR REPLIES!!!!

If you are making a grocery stop you could always pick up drinks there. You wouldn't have to worry about the mugs. I still think the mugs are a great value if you don't have your own drinks.

They weren't for us (worth it, that is). It was a TREK down to get a drink, and with the heat, we drank it all walking back to your room LOL! I refilled mine maybe 3x the entire week.

I'd wait and see and make the decision once you're there ;)

I guess it depends on how often you are going to hang around the pool and old port royale. We were in Martinique and went to the food court each morning and the pool each afternoon so for us it was worth it. DH likes to get coffee in the morning and at night, and the drinks in the afternoon were convienent. If your just going to do parks, you could probably skip the cup because you do have a fridge in your room which you could store drinks in.

We got them and probably broke even..did not use them that much.....

as a previous poster said if you will be at pool area...well worth it....just pop in OPR to refill....
We did not eat at the food court that much.....DH did make a run to fill at night but it would have been better to just have soda in the room....
and now I think all of the rooms have fridges...

With the bus tops at each "island" it ios not convienient to fill unless you plan to leave for parks from OPR...

PLus I did not really want to carry the mugs at the parks all day....
( I think we took 1- one day..but we still had a stroller to hold things...)

BTW :We LOVE CBR...have fun!!....... Don't forget to watch the fireworks from EPCOT if you are at the resort when they go off.....

Our room in Trinidad South was a five to seven minute walk from the Old Port Royal foodcourt. To avoid a trip back to the room to return the mugs we (I) ended up hauling those things around all day (which took up quite a bit of space in the backpack).

On our next trip I thing we are skipping the mugs.

We wern't sure if it was gonna be worth it or not either. We stayed in Barbados, which is next to Jamacia. A few mornings we walked over to OPR and ate breakfast and put the mugs in the bag, and left from the bus station at the food court. We decided to eat dinner at the food court again, so after that day at the parks we just got off at the OPR bus stop.

Other days we walked over with our mugs, ate breakfast, made/sketched out a plan for the day(for the parks), and then walked back to our rooms to make sure we were ready to hit the parks. So, walking back was nice because it gave me time to make sure I had everything etc... All and all, we think it was worth it. Happy desicion making.
