Refillable freestyle cups

Hey!

I've been reading about the refillable cups and with my DD being a big Icee drinker (and myself Iced Tea), this seems like a good deal for us. Do the cups work like Disney where you pay once for your length of ticket or is it paying per day? Are they able to be used in Volcano Bay?

Activation is done on a daily basis. You can also ask for x # of days when you activate and pay for it once. We always do it that way “can you give us 3 days, please?” We’ve had TMs tell us that multi-day activation can be a problem and tell us to keep the receipt so we can a show payment if there is an issue. Only had that issue once or twice.

Yes, they work at VB, too.

Crashing this thread to ask how the lines for the Freestyle machines are these days? Lots of reports last month of no ice and long lines.

We were there last week, and no problem. Crowds have really declined from their summer peak, as more districts head back to school. When there was a line, we waited for maybe one or two people in front of us to refill. Never had a problem running out of ice, and no problem filling other reusable containers with water, which was good because the August heat and humidity made us prioritize hydration. I think the Freestyle lines are going to mirror the other lines in the parks.
