I was wondering, if you purchase a refillable cup in US are you allowed to have it refilled in IOA? or are they different at each park? Also, does anyone know the charge for refills?

Sorry I've had so many questions, there's just not much Universal information out there. :) Thanks!

There is no such thing as too many questions!:wave2:

The regular (soda) cups vary in price for initial purchase, but cost $1.25 to fill, as far as I have been able to tell. We have two Shrek & Donkey cups we have been toting back and forth for the past year, and have always been charged $1.25 for refill :sunny: .

Beer cups are a different matter! Seems I get a different answer every time we go, including for refills during happy hours - but I do know we have saved considerably by using them!:drinking1

And I forgot to say that yes, you can take them from park to park-the exception: they will not let you take a filled beer cup between the two - you either have to drink or dump before you leave either of the parks!:jester:

does anyone know approximately how much it cost to purchase the refillable cups

thanks

That's great news! I was afraid we would have to buy a cup for each park.

Thanks! :)

I just checked yesterday on prices for the cups. The Jimmy Neutron and MIB cups were $4.99 plus tax and the Sponge Bob was $9.99 plus tax. Sponge Bob is more than any of the other cups in the park because they hold more. These prices also include the softdrink when you first purchase them. After that refills are $1.25 plus tax, which makes the refills exactly $1.34 which is less than the cost of a small drink.

I asked about refills on for more than one day and was told that they used to have a sticker for each day but now refills are welcome as long as you still own your cups.

I've been using my MIB cup for months now.

What's really cool is that if you have an older cup that they dont sell, they'll still refill them at the discounted rate!

 I never thought about getting a refillable cup, but you can't beat that price and it will beat lugging around water. I'm sure they wouldn't mind refilling your cup with water for free!

Do you still get free refills on the day you purchase the cup?

LOL - I have a huge collection of these souvenier cups from various parks. It is totally worth the purchase price for the cheap refills. There are four of us, but we only carry two. One for diet soda, one for regular. We would buy four, but then we would have lug four around!!

I haven't been to USO yet, but all the other ones have refilled the day of purchase. HTH!

The refills are available the day you buy the cup and for as long as you have your cup. I have a cup I bought months ago that I still refill. It even has my name written on it in permanent marker, so it is obviously not a recent purchase. In my post above, I said that they used to sell them with a sticker on them that made them only good for that day at the park but they have discontinued that practice. Now you can refill them even if that particular cup is not sold anymore (see Dark Maurader's post above).

Wow! That is a great deal! :sunny: I think we'll just get 2 cups & share them. The kids will probably get tired of carrying them around.

You can definitely share them with your kids. The cups hold alot. I can only drink about half anyway. Some of the cups have handles that you can loop your belt or another strap through them and carry them that way.

But are they still free? From reading this post it seems that they are now $1.25 for refills. The last time I went, we bought a character cup with a straw for about $10 and we got a coupon for free refills all day. Do they still do that?

I'm sorry, tarmand. I didn't read the "free" part. I guess I'm the one who who should be reading the posts more carefully.

No, the refills aren't free anymore for the day of purchase. I think they did that back when you could only use your cup on the day of purchase and not for subsequent visits. Back then, you got a sticker for your cup with the purchase date on it.

All refills are $1.34 (this includes tax) now even on the first day of purchase.

Thanks! So does this mean I could bring my cups from a few years ago?

I have never seen anyone refused a refill even with old cups. My MIB cup is the old design and they still refill mine. What cup do you have and I can see if they still make that kind. But even if they don't, I don't think you'll have a problem.

I believe we have Cat in the Hat and Spiderman. They are from about three years ago.

I think those should be fine. I thought maybe you had a King Kong cup or something. :teeth:

U also get ap discount at counter service for your refills also in march they were selling cat in the hat cups at the discount outlet in beltz for $3.50 and in park $9.99 plus tax exact same cup go figure:jester:
