Refillabe Mugs?

Well as I've said before.. (tho maybe not in this thread..)

Disney's policy now is ".. For the length of stay in which it was purchased"

Add to that Disney doesn't expend much energy enforcing this policy so I don't see why we should get all worked up about it.. one way OR the other.

:)

I guess we'll have to discuss pool hopping...or heelys....

I agree with you.

The only Resorts where the YOAMD mugs can not be used at is the Contemporary because the Food & Fun Center is closed and the temporary counter service location does not have a drink machine, so they are not selling any refillable mugs. Once Chef Mickey's Express opens which would be their new counter service location, then they would once again start selling mugs there.

If someone purchased the DDP and the mug was part of the package, would they still get the mug (being that there is no CS at CR)? I know this is not a big deal, but it may be enough for me to convince DW that we need to change to AKV. :cool1:

Maybe I'm missing something, but I fail to see why Disney would care where you refill your mug. :confused3 If they did, why not stay with resort specific mugs? How many people actually carry their mugs around with them all the time and visit other resorts to have the opportunity to refill them elsewhere? I carry mine (clipped by the handle onto my camera case) so I can start the day with coffee while transporting and not have to go back to the room to retrieve it when I return to the resort. I also transfer sodas or water purchased in the park to keep them cold longer. The only time I've refilled at a resort other than my own was when I took the boat from POFQ to POR. I had no idea that there was any debate as to where they could be refilled.

The debate is generally about using them on multiple trips... but only paying once.

Then it spills over into people staying at two resorts in one trip.. visiting another resort and so on.

Frankly, it's all silliness. If Disney wanted to enforce this, they would.

They don't. So I'm sure not going to be the MP's. (Mug Police ;))

Chef Mickey's will be open by then I believe... so.. not sure that this affects you.

It has been posted on here that Chef Mickey's Express should open on August 14, 2008.

That's perfect, I mean darn ;) We will be there 5th - 11th and although I love CR, I really want to try out AKV. This might help me convince the powers that be (DW) that we should try something new. Heck, I'd even be open to a split stay.

My DD brought me home the blue mug and I am so happy with it. It fits perfectly in my car cup holder and keeps my coffee pretty warm even when it is cold outside! Thanks again for the picture.
