Referal dollars

Hi, New to the board. I just referred someone who joined and their deed as recorded in Oct. I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes to recive your reward dollars. Did you have to call or did your guide contact you by phone or mail. We will be traveling to VWL in mid Dec. and the extra $$ shure would be helpful.

I hope Ohio is one of those states that allows you to get the reward! Here in Minnesota, we are prevented by state law from being awarded these. Too bad too, because we have referred two who have purchased! We did get a nice letter for each from our guide thanking us for the referal and saying how sorry they were that they couldn't give us anything. Actually, as I remember the list of states where this is allowed is a lot smaller than the list of states where it is NOT allowed.

In addition to the restrictions made by individual states (Indiana doesn't allow the rewards either), DVC is also pretty strict about when the first contact was made with the buyer. If your referral had contacted DVC previously (even if it was several years ago), your reward will be negated.

If you believe you are due something you can call MS and choose Member Accounting- they can direct you to the proper person to check for you.

I was soo bummed. I live in PA. I had 2 friends buy, but I do not get anything because PA doesn't allow it.

They only do referrals at the end of each month. If your referral wasn't closed by the deadline at the end of October............you won't get your referral notice until the end of November. We are also waiting for a referral from October and our guide said we should be getting the notice with-in the next week.

Once you get the notice to choose how you want your Disney Dollars(dues,down payment,Disney Dollars,etc) it usually takes 2-3 weeks after that to get the actual Disney dollars.

Call your guide and he can tell you exactly when you should expect it.

P.S. Ohio does allow referrals.

I too live in a state that does not allow them, but I was just curious as to how much DVC gives to the fortunate few that can get them. Is it a percentage of the sale or flat rate or what?

It's $200 for the first referral in a year.
