Reese's Pieces makes a wish pre-trip report

We just received the official MAW letter in our mail today, which has the dates.

It is actually happening! Now hopefully Reese stays healthy enough for the trip

Yeah for finally having dates!!! I hope Reese stays well enough for the trip and your able to get any reservations you want!!! What size does she wear? I'm starting to go through my daughter's clothes that she's out grown and she does have some pretty cute Disney dresses that I'd love to pass on if your interested in them.

I'll try to get my DH to pull that size from the attic this week and will let you know what we have. Do you know what size she fits in the Disney Store dresses? I think we have some that my daughter has outgrown just need to double check those this week. Also are you looking for anything specific?

I checked the size chart. She should fit into a 3. A 4 would probably be a little big. Amazingly the only ACTUAL disney costumes we have are Elsa and Anna and Sophia the First.

My DD loves to dress up too!! She's now 6 and got a Merida dress from her Aunt for her birthday and she wear's it almost every day!!! She gets home from school and before I can her snack and homework ready she's already changed!!! I'll be in contact soon. We were all over this weekend between a baby shower, birthday party and finding some pants for me I didn't have a chance to pull any clothes out yet. But will just as soon as I find the time.

Me: Well no. It will probably be brown.

Reese: I don't like brown. Pink is more beautiful.

So we are backing at CHOP. Reese spiked a fever on Tuesday while getting a transfusion at the clinic. A fever was brewing, (her temperature all morning was 99.5--which is high for her, usually she runs 97.5-98.1) But not high enough to be a fever. Her oncologists pretty much said that if she didn't spike a fever during the transfusion, that they would send her home but we would head back to the hospital for a fever a couple hours late. We live about an hour and 15 from the clinic, so I was SO thankful it happened when we were there.

Unfortunately, it will be a long stay. Her immune system is at 0. Her doctors are estimating at the earliest a week, but most likely closer to two weeks. Reese doesn't mind being in the hospital especially now that her fever is gone and she isn't anemic anymore. However, because it is 0, we are confined to our room for the time being.

I'm excited Diegos wish trip is the exact same dates!!!!!!!!!!!

He is 7 and also had cancer but his kidney cancer and he is currently in remission.

Reese immune numbers are still 0 and they show 0 growth. The doctors aren't concerned because that was REAL powerful chemo that she just finished--but it is hard being confined in one room.

Reese hasn't been allowed to leave the room yet---it is 5 days and counting. She can get out of bed and run in the room---she starts off the morning with her morning "exercises" and playing soccer. However, we are SLOWLY going stir crazy. During the day we keep her hospital room door open and she seriously stands at the door frame and waves to every nurse/person walking by.

They are thinking that our visit will be closer to two weeks. We definitely aren't going home this week, because even if her numbers start to show growth they want them to be heading towards 200 which can take 4-5 days in itself.

So we are stuck.
