Reducing numbers in ADR's: WWYD?

We'll be down 2 adults and one child for our December ADR's. One "branch" of our family tree had to cancel their trip for health reasons.

Can I just call Dining and take those people off our ressies w/o rebooking?

There will have to be a table available for lower amount for them to change it.

Reducing is far easier than adding. If I were you, I'd wait a bit longer to be SURE they aren't going. It would be no fun if you dropped them off the ADRs and then they say, "Nevermind, we can work it out."
But, whenever you want to reduce it, just call. They usually can do it, and if not, unless you used a CC to reserve it, you can just tell them when you get there. If you used a CC to reserve it, I'd call as often as you can to get it dropped.
