I couldn't get in touch with Pat to do a frame around her "If the Crown Fits, Wear it".
As I was going to wear this on a colored shirt, I really wanted it framed. I tried framing her's and that didn't work too well.
Then I was looking at the Photos on this board
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=836587&page=2236 picture #33536 , & thought wouldn't this picture look great behind a crown?
Why yes it would I answered myself, it would look just lovely.
So I asked Jade1 if I could take her picture and have my way with it
and she kindly said "yes, by all means, take the picture". So I did.
Then "all I had to do"
was find a crown. Now how hard can that be.
Well let me tell you how hard it was. First I did a google image search, that I did an Ask Jeeves image search and there were few crowns to be had. I found 2 of them and tried to Gif them, well that wasn't a very bright idea
. Nope, I had very wierd looking crowns and don't have the know how to fix them.
So there I was, frustrated beyond belief and decided that was wearing this design on a colored shirt, really worth the last 3 hours of aggravation I had subjected myself to?
Of course, OCD Neurotic people like myself thrive on this type of aggravation. We love punishing ourselves.
Then I got another brilliant idea. maybe there would be a crown in one of my 5 cardmaking programs (yes 5, I keep buying them when they are on sale as you never know when you might need to make a card and all the card stores of the world are closed.
When that happens, I wll be like the proverbial girl scout and be well prepared. So I open Print Shop 21 and one of the clip art shapes was a crown. So I filled it with black, outlined it with white, copied it into photo impact and saved it. Then I giffed the inside part (black part) and that was easy because I just did the magic eraser. then I took that beautiful crown and placed it on top of the Beautiful picture from Jade1
(Thank you Jade1 for getting me started on this wonderful project
). I lined it up really purty like, and put the castle spire in the middle, merged it and saved it again. Then I realized that the castle shouldn't be centered vertically, & since I had saved everything as a jpg, well I started over.
Then I got the crown and the castle right where I want them & I started looking for the princesses. Now, having no children, I am not sure what the "princesses" means. I know the biggies are in there like Cinderella, Snow White, Belle & Sleeping Beauty. & Pretty much Jasmine & Ariel are with the "princesses". But now we have a new princess, Giselle
& we have to include her & if Mulan is the daughter of an Emperor, she has to be a princess, So I added her to the mix. & My favorite lady is Tink
. Now I know she isn't a princess, but she should be,
So I added her in. So that's the saga of my "If the Crown Fit's" Adventure. Thanks to Amy for trying to help me out with the crowns, to Jade1 for her beautiful picture and Pat for the original idea. Also, many, many thanks,
to the folks at http://www.disneyclips.com/ for the beautiful work they do. So here's the modified If the Crown fits. I think it looks a little busy, but Frankly My Dear, I don't give a care, it's done & I ain't messing with it no more.
the picture is smaller here, if you need the fulll size file, email me & I will send it to you.
Take care, Penny
