Redeeming gift cards at Resort?

I'm getting so excited for my trip - I can do my online check in and fast passes tomorrow woot!

I had a question about what do with redeeming gift cards for my trip. I'll be bringing a few I earned from Disney Movie Rewards and also ones I purchased with my Target red card. What do I do when I get to the hotel? Do I apply them at the beginning of my stay, settle my balance with them on a daily basis (if so by what time) or just use them at the end of the trip when checking out?

Sorry if this is a duplicate. I only could find the post about where to buy gift cards and got lost in the shuffle of that 101 page thread if that info is in there.

Every once in a while, you will get a CM who knows how to apply the cards to a folio that has a zero balance and you can add all of your cards at check in. If you are in a hurry to get to the parks, you can wait until a more convenient time than check in. Disney does not charge the credit card on file until you have exceeded a pre-set spending limit. The limit varies depending on the level of your resort with Value Resorts having a lower limit. (I think it's $500?). If you want to wait until the end of your trip, make sure that you stop by the lobby concierge the night before you are scheduled to depart. Disney will run your charges through to your credit card overnight if there is a balance.

If you get a CM that is unable to load the gift cards at the start, you can always just charge everything to the room and stop at the front desk towards the end of your trip and have the balance cleared using the gift cards. We have done this numerous times and it is very quick, provided there is not a long line of people waiting to check in.
